Impulse buy, was picking up some sawzall blades in preparation for the next lovely suspension job and this was on offer for £150. I didn’t exactly need a new drill, but it was about £10 more for the kit with the drill than buying the two batteries separately.

And a Wera joker 15mm pedal wrench. I’ve been after a slimline wrench for calliper slider pins but my snap on one has been on back order for months, so picked this up for my road box. Quite liking the Wera stuff:

Nice I have been looking for them. What are your thoughts, worth the wait?

i have been looking at these as well. im also curious.
I literally just opened the package and snapped the pic. They seem nice enough. I’ll put them to use as a pry bar as opposed to using a small flat blade screwdriver. I probably should have ordered multiple sets to give away as gifts.

Couple items today. Saw the Mueller Kueps tool here and decided to grab one. Tire gauge, tired of those darned digital units that never work when you really need them. This one should last the rest of my life.

I have the same Joes Racing tire gauge and I have no complaints. Was torn between this and a Longacre one.

First ever Mac Wednesday for me. 1/4 roto head ratchet. Got it to try and if I don’t like it I’ll trade it or sell it. Not huge on the handle but want to give it a go. Ordered one from Snap-on months ago and still hasn’t arrived and I love these type of ratchets so to go with my 3/8 I got this 1/4 one. A 1/4 drive 15mm to fill the rail in my cart. Two pairs of socks to make all three brands of socks I own lol. And two pocket pry bars even though they call them screwdrivers haha. And all of this is paid in full I owe nothing to Mac I’m tired of debt. I wanted to give this guy business too because he is the first Mac driver I’ve ever met that has been nice.

:LOL: What's up with MAC drivers?
Haha I don’t know. Maybe nobody buys their stuff lol. Mac has went downhill a lot in my opinion but I want to give it a go and I’ll always help the good dealers especially when he makes it a point to show up to my shop lol. Last Mac guy I tried to deal with said I don’t want some weekend warrior or some construction worker buying tools and then trying to chase me down when it breaks or something my tools are only for professional mechanics.

Just got these 600N wrenches. 600SPC/16 to be exact, from amazon.de. They're definitely not finished well, and nearly half of them are actually slightly curved/bent, but I would bet that this is the norm. As long as they work and are as tough as people say, I'll be happy.

Edit: Wish Stahlwille made the open box 14s with the open box 13 box ends. They should, and call them the open box 15s.

New 18mm facom 440 wrench. This was a warranty replacement from Facom for my recently purchased 440 set (which I am a big fan of).

I went to get the 18mm wrench out the set on Sunday because it’s shorter than my SO 18mm’s and access was tight. I was kinda confused when it didn’t grip the bolt, then realised I had grabbed the 19mm by mistake. So I grabbed the one next to it and that didn’t fit either…turns out Facom had shipped a set with two 19s!

I am massively impressed with the response from www.primetools.co.uk, from emailing them 2pm Tuesday to having the correct wrench in my hand 11am Thursday, with absolutely zero hassle.

That's odd - I'd think he'd mainly demand that people buying his tools pay him real money. All the people who take my money seem to care only about that part.

WTF, money is money? Especially when you're paying in full rather than carrying a balance. Though my experience with the last two Snap On dealers I have had is the complete opposite. I only buy something from him when I absolutely need (want) it. Love my Mac guy.

I agree. I like this Mac guy though. He just won’t go to any new places so we are pretty much his last new route lol. We had to beg for him to come by. That other guy was a total jerk. We were out and seen him one time and we needed a socket and that’s what he told us. Different city and different guy surprisingly I still see him driving around. This Mac guy at my shop I will definitely keep business with. He has been in the business since 1996 so you know he is doing something right.

This has been covered a ton of times, but the guy might burn an hour talking to some enthusiastic home guy and sell him $50 of chrome, what he wants is the guy who always runs a $300 balance and gives him $50 every week forever.

I find some of these dealer stories kinda out there. My shop is in a residential area so I have to go meet my Matco and Snap On guys somewhere along their route. I feel like if you are direct and nice they will work with you. I needed one thing from Mac that I couldn’t get elsewhere and met the dude 2 hours from me at a Chevy dealer and paid for the sockets. He would have let me run a truck account if I wanted.

I’m sure my Matco and Snap On dealer thought I was suspect at first but I’ve been up to $300 a week on a truck account at times.

Also this is on a truck account. (I’ve had it a week but did some traveling right after it showed up.)

As a data point - dealers seem to be soft on doing business with me. They're often not reliable for showing up, or ordering things. Now, ordering things can have other issues, like backorders.

Trucks love getting 50/week on direct deposit out of somebody's account the day the pay check.

Typically I can spend a couple grand a year with snap on. Difference is, guy paying 50/week guaranteed. I just want a flier and I'll buy what I buy. I typically pay in full. So I'm good for cash flow, but less predictable.

Matco haul. Got the knife sharpener free mainly to make my coworker jealous but also cause I bought a knife lol. My coworker who owes more than anyone else owes to this Matco dealer on a truck account was trying to buy a bunch of stuff and hasn’t paid his bill in three weeks and this was one of the things he wanted. He said well I’ll give it to Blake and if Blake says you can sharpen your knife with it then you can but you aren’t buying anything today till I see some money or some tool surrender. I didn’t even make it back in the shop he swiped it out of my hand and sharpened his knife with it lol. I was going to get the same knife this kid has but decided to get a different one because a lot of everyone’s stuff in the shop matches so I want to be different on some things so it doesn’t get mixed up lol. The knife is really nice. You can’t ever have too many knives. And then a really nice flood light type of light it’s very bright and rechargeable.

JFC, these are the people who do not need to be buying tool truck tools. Unfortunate.
Absolutely hilarious! These are the same guys who complain about being broke but drive a 70k and go out to lunch everyday 😂

People who are financially illiterate buy things from many venders.

You should see the people buying sub 10k used european cars. LMAO
Yes, because if they tried to buy from one vendor they would be told no… because their wallet doesn’t show enough cash. And they try to buy broke euro cars to keep up with everyone else who can’t afford the post 10k cars 😂👍

Ever reach the point where there are no more new tools to buy? Just kidding, lol me neither, but I am getting close, going a week or two without buying a single tool, wife asked if I was feeling ok, she seemed concerned.
Do what I do... buy a 2nd then 3rd then 4th copy of all your tools. Then buy better "go bags"... more drawers... better label printers...
