We have a "show your toolbox" topic, a "show your screwdrivers" topic, and I think a few others. But as far as I know, we don't have a "show your pliers" topic.

Well...
We do now!

Here is what is in my box, did not feel like digging out the stuff in the truck, pit boxes and construction totes.

Tough to compete, as usual, but here's my modest collection. Gets the job done! Need more vice grips I think....

Seeing Monte's pliers, reminded me of some Russian made similar pliers that I had put away and forgotten about:

Still had the receipt............paid $2.95 ea. in 1995 at Lee Valley.

Monte: Gott in Himmel!!!! That is the most amazing collection of pliers I have ever seen in one place!! I eat off dirtier utensils when hunting than your work tools. Awesome! How do you keep them so clean? I love the Gedore blue BTW.

Garfunkle24: the orange handled "vice grips" look like Gray Tools sourced Spanish ones: the name escapes me. I don't see them in the current Gray Tools catalogue. Are they no distributed by Gray anymore? I also see many red handled pliers. What brand(s) are they?

Wow! I would love to try one of those out

Everyone should have at least a medium and large size. For seized bolts and screws nothing compares to those pliers. Also great for piping jobs. Big slip joints are just a joke compared to the strength of this design. Wondering why they aren't popular in the US.

The 1000VDC pliers are all NWS. All the others laid out on the bench are Knipex. The ones in the toolbox drawer are Mac snap-ring pliers made by Stride.

The Grip-ons aren't in Gray's regular catalogue, but they do feature fairly regularly in their promotional flier which can be found here: http://www.graytools.com/specials.htm

NWS sure does make some attractive pliers... They are too hard to find in the USA though unfortunately.
