im just cleaning mine up and in the process of transforming it into my woodworking area. so i just wanted to see some other shop set-ups and ideas. i will be posting pics of mine inthe process soon. Thanks

"Woodworking area?" I admire your determination. Perhaps it is just the way my mind works and my work goes, but with winter storage requirements, etc I can barely find the floor out there now. A few weeks ago I went after all the shelving clutter and was feeling pretty good about it. Then the tractor came back in, some friends snow-plow needs repair, but that is leaving today and my daughter had her cabinet guy deliver a bunch of cabinets for me to finish. I haven't asked why she had someone else build them, but we will have that conversation soon enough...once they are finished. Anyway, in my 30x34 right now I can't walk 4' in any direction without having to do a doe-see-doe with something. Woodworking area? That is funny, but I admire your determination

I'll save some time taking pictures of mine. Just search google for random tornado damage images. Better yet, if you can find "bomb destroys hardware store" for clearer images... You get the idea.

Now imagine a workbench under there with a 7" Wilton wood vise on one end and a 4" Wilton bullet on the opposite end. Yeah, it's there, under all that "rubble" (translation: unfinished projects).

In front of it is a table saw (right now, about a square foot of cast iron is actually visible, but I really can get it working in under 5 minutes). That's across from a sliding compound miter saw (actually totally accessible right now). A vacuum in the rafters above serves as it's dust collection.

That's next to a scroll saw who's table is at chop saw height for right side support. The home brew table saw dust collector is next to that, partially obstructing my wooden hardware cabinets.

Good luck! I call mine a 2-door zero-car garage. Though technically my Jeep has actually been in both bays at one time during its life.

My stuff is scattered all over the shop, mixed with metal working, automotive, etc. I have a Ridgid table saw, 12" miter, and an elderly 12" planer, along with a wide array of manual and power hand tools. I'm more of a wood butcher than a wood worker, but I did all of the cabinetry in our house. Looking forward to more sophisticated projects now that I am retired.

Two things jumped out at me in your pics...the spiral staircase and blue chair.

My entire woodshop fits in the back half of my 28x50 shop.

One pic is the typical layout. The machines are all on wheels so I can roll them around if needed.

The other pic is the shop chair in front of the shop TV.

This is 1000% better than what I dealt with at the last house. There I had to share a 2-car garage with the wife's car and my Harley.

The front half of the shop is still full of **** from the move. Still trying to get rid of a lot of it.
