Shower curb with 1/4” cement board

I’m building a shower curb with 2x4 and cement board.

I’m covering the curb with with Kerdi membrane.

Any reason I should NOT use 1/4” cement board.

I have plenty of 1/4” on hand.

Ive always used the plastic kit that you fill with concrete when you are pouring your base as well. Your membrane gets sandwiched into the plastic form and is then trapped in the concrete.

Ive done, I think, 3 of them and all worked out great.
