Hi All,
My shower head 'escutcheon' (for lack of a better term) rotted through on my old 1960's-70's shower.
It's not just an escutcheon however, it's a functional piece that screws onto the water pipe coming out of the wall (very similar to the bath spout at the bottom), and then adapting that into a female-end for the shower head (with adapter since it's reverse of modern shower heads)
It's pretty much beyond repair at this point, and I would like to replace it, but I can't find anything similar anywhere. All I seem to be able to find are those double-ended threaded ones designed to screw into a pipe in the wall and then to a shower head on the other end.
I'd rather not have to cut the pipe back and put on an end.
Does anyone know what this rotted piece is called, or where I can find something similar that would screw over the pipe sticking out of the wall and allow me to attach my shower head?
