Any idea who makes this? Need to replace the stem. Ive had it apart, it has two small rubber cups with springs behind them, in the body of the valve.

Sometimes on the underside of the spout there is a manufacturer mark, at least there was on ours. I used my cell phone to take a picture to find out it was made by Union Brass.

I'd say delta or a spin off of them.

Maybe take it to a good plumbing store and have them look at it. Experienced people will probably be able to ID it.

Did that yesterday. They think its a Glacier Bay, which is made in like 4 countries for Home Depot. No spare parts. The handle screw is stripped, so ill have to retap it. Home Depot has the rubber cups and springs for the inside, though.Maybe take it to a good plumbing store and have them look at it. Experienced people will probably be able to ID it.
To replace the valve we either have to bust out the tile and cement board or maybe the drywall from the back. Mone are real attractive.

How bad is it stripped?
Maybe a new screw and a little bit of blue loc tite?

my first attempt would be to try & repair it since you have parts , and re tapping sounds like a reasonable approach.
second choice ( and if option 1 fails) remove the drywall from the backside... far easier & less $$$ to repair than the tiles.
