If you haven't seen these little hammers before, the handle unscrews and there's a few different drivers in there, like Russian nesting dolls. I gave her the pliers. I need to get a her a pair of hard wire cutters and a few other things.

Due to the fact they are spread all over the place I'm not going to collect and photograph. Lets just say they run from gardening, to carpenters, to fencing, to vet type things. Her barns are bigger than my shop.

My wife has a butter knife that she turns screws with, and the heel of her shoe to pound on things.

When something big needs fixed, she adds it to the list.

Once I tell her that I'm going to fix something, why does she have to remind me every 6 months?

All of this is "vintage" Craftsman, 10-20 years old.

She bought an imitation leather case with 1/4" and 3/8" sockets for the car. I threw in a couple of screwdrivers and a Vice Grips.
In the laundry room, she bought her own set of screwdrivers. I threw in a pair of pliers, diagonal cutters and needle nose.

I am probably one of the few guys with a computer tool set. Cheap micro screwdrivers, straight and Phillips, Wiha Torx T2-T10, small diagonal cutters and small needle nose, wire strippers, tweezers, hemostat.

So the other day I got a package from Amazon (hurray a package from Amazon) and I sat down at the kitchen table and asked Mrs Outlander to pass me a knife. She reached into her purse and handed me the multi-tool (pink once from Cabelas) I gave her for Christmas. It was a few minutes before I could compose myself. She's a keeper!

A few years ago I won a JobMate (cheap Canadian Tire brand) kit with every tool imaginable. I gave it to the Mrs and she keeps it in the cottage kitchen cupboard!

Ahh.sniff, sniff. Be right back.
