shrinker/ stretcher stand project

Just finished this stand and can finally get to work on some body patch panels... I used old wrenches for the linkage and an old gear for the center for looks. also you can spin it around from shrinking to stretching... was a fun project

I laid them out on the edge of the table so they ended up in line and welded them together for the one side... the next side, I had to get them so it would go through to the other side at the correct angle to make it work smoothly.:willy_nil

I used my cutoff saw to make notches on the outside of the metal used to make the v every 6 inches ...then welded them up to make the gradual curve instead of a straight v

Now that little trick is worth a post all by itself! More details please! What size is that flat bar used to make the V?

And I love the stand!
