So I bought this used a few years ago for 4k. Ya, most of you guys would cry about buying a used 2 post lift for 4k when you can buy a china one for that. Well it’s an 18k capacity rotary! Go price a new one, your gonna fall back into your chair

Well it was in a warehouse, was 16.5’ tall when I took it down
New shops ceiling is 15’.
This model is adjustable from 15- 16.5
Well 15’ is just gonna kiss the tin and everything else. I mean, tight! So I’m shrinking it to 14.5’.
Rotary since it isn’t a POs has holes drilled in the upper contention every 6”. So take 12 bolts loose per column and slide extension down 2’ and bam, shes 14.5”. Cut my conduit and lowered it back also so it’s ready to go.

Order cables 4’ shorter as rotary doesn’t have provisions to use this cable at this height. Actually measures out to be rotary spo18 LC cable that’s available for $95 each

Never mind the hoist, that's easy. How about the man l8ft in tracks?!

I have plans to put a skid steer plate on mine for outdoor use.

I’m currently up to 5 man lifts for construction phase. That little track one will drive over a 2x4 while up in the air!
One 40’ boom, one 34’ articulated, two small sissor and that tiny track one. Everybody always borrowing them. 2 currently out on loan

I would have given 4 grand for that myself. Don't you have room to poke the columns up through the tin?
Yes but the ceiling has insulation in it. And when you load these things they move….. so keeping it sealed up would be a struggle plus uprighting them…, The one crane already had to be assembled before ceiling installed due to clearance

Looks good!
I'm thinking of doing the same thing with mine going from 12' to 10'.
Do your hoses run overhead? Did you have them shortened or just loop the hose?
