Has anyone got a BendPack MD6 Mid-Rise Sicssor lift, and that wouldn't mind taking some dims for me.

I was going to buy one but Funds have tightened up near the end of my Garage build and I would like to just make one. I can build it in CAD first so if anyone else wants a free copy once I'm done, perhaps I could post it here somewhere.... with a Disclaimer of course...

Hi..

there are lots of threads with regards to that midrise lift. People like it...ssomeone made a very nice write up on the install on another site, but is a member here too.

Ill see if I can find some threads for you.. :)

ps: how much would you be saving if you were to make it yourself?

Local Price for a MD6 is $2600.....

Pump and motor unit is $400, Cylinders say $400 tops, Hyd Pipes free from Work, Turning and welding I will do so that's free just the price of the steel say another $400 (suspect Less). So should be able to save at least $1400, and that will buy me a Compressor I need... So well worth the effort...

Princess Auto sells the Pumps and Cylinders....

Plus I have a Neighbour that wants one, and I said If I double up on all the parts I may be able to get some discount on some of the Stuff...

Thanks for the plug voetsek. That's one of my lifts. I got three and I'm keeping two of them. My wife was bitching about our three car garage with three lifts, so we agreed that I would get rid of one. She want's me to get rid of two, but I cannot get rid of my snap on midrise nor my challenger low rise. I like them all but I see her point.

Oh...thats seems like a good amount of savings. I never knew that the bendpak lift cost that much. I am in Vancouver, and we have a bendpak dealer here, but I havent had the chance to ask how much it cost.

craigslist is like the buy and sell.

I have no capabilities of designing or creating my own lift so I will have to save up for one.

I am looking at the gregsmithequipment one thats the midrise scissor lift.

I am comparing this lift with the bendpak since my garage floor isnt as thick as the recommended one to use the maxjax.

The Dealer I got a Quote from was in BC, maybe the same people.... had a chance to get for $1950 before the Dollar slid against the US... Doh...

would that be Babco sales??? Cuz, I was told that its a bendpak dealer...

Wow...$2600CND or USD? for a midrise lift?? I better start saving up!!! :shocking:

Now have all the dimensions i need thanks to a Good guy and all round helpful chap. Have done alittle modifing as the Cylinders I can get that are made for this kind of work are slightly different in stroke and overall lenght, but still works the same............

If anyone wants the CAD drawings just email me and I'll be happy to give them away, with a Disclaimer of course....
