Hi there, if it is listed somewhere, could you please point me to it, otherwise.

Installing a 45k BTU modine or Reznor separated combustion NG heater in a 25'x25' x 8' insulated detached garage in Sundre Alberta Canada. 3000ft, -40C is common in winter. (last winter we were the coldest palce on earth for a day! yay! :( blech! :(

New rules say it has to be stainless steel venting. thats fine.
I'll use the concentric vent.

What pieces do i need to do a side vent kit. it will be in the back corner of the garage. Reznor has a famcy wall plate unit. Does Modine have the same thing? can i get these pieces anywhere besides reznor/modine such as home depot, lowe's, etc. What is it called in pipefitting lingo. i.e. B-Vent

plastic siding, soffit is 8' above ground level, asphalt shingles, gentle slope.

I have heard of kits but have also seen somewhere that kits are bad or a waste and they dont work well.

Thanks for any input. good luck to all of your projects.

Josh

The big box stores don't carry b-vent that i know of. You have to order from a manufacturer or specific distributor/supply store. i.e. Duravent
Whichever heater your using you need to follow their installation instructions and the parts they require. They will depict your minimum/maximum required lenghths, number of 90's, condensate pitch etc..
Your heaters installation instructions will also refer you to the proper NFPA/ANSI codes that you need to meet. If your town doesn't require any codes than you NEED to install per manuf. Instructions which includes the national codes. Your installation manual will tell you exactly how you should install.
