So I have decided that I would like to use LP smartside on my new garage. I have chosen to do a color called clay for the body and Smokey Ash for the trim. Issue I see is finding color matched flashing. Do lumbar yards typically have/order flashing that match?

Short answer no. Longer answer maybe. Flashing, trim coil, gutter and downspout accessories may not have the same color options unless sold by the same vender as the siding.

you wont have any problems finding clay wherever your getting your siding Smokey ash, should be something close. Youll need to buy a 50' by 2' of coil and bend the flashing yourself with a siding brake. Should be around $100

For flashing, I went to a sheetmetal shop and ordered a couple sheets of coated aluminum that was close in color to my siding and had them cut and bend it. Trim to match the roofing came from the metal roofing materials provider, some pre formed and the rest in coils. Had the sheetmetal shop cut and bend the stuff as required.

Check with Menards. They should have SmartSide color samples and they have a bunch of trim coil colors. Typically, as long as it's not in the same plane as the siding, you can be a bit off in color and not even know it.

Clay/sandstone/etc. are pretty easy to find matching-color trim, caulk, etc. for.

Home Depot has 30 different colors and Menards has 21, don't see what the problem would be clay is a popular color.
