Siding cost

Have vinyl sided a few houses and don't remember it costing a large amount, so wondering if my brain can no longer do simple math, or has the cost gone up that much in 20 years. As an example; a box of cheap vinyl contains 200 sq ft, and cost $130 or so.

Using round numbers, house is L75xW30xH8x2 = 36000 sq ft
36000/200 = 180 boxes
180x$130 = $23,400

Has the cost gone up that much or am I doing something wrong?

Isn't it more like 75x8x2=1200 and 30x8x2=1660? 2860.00

Both of the first 2 posts are wrong.

L75+W30=105LFx2(Other 2 walls)=210LFxH8=1680SF/200=9boxes@$130 = $1170

Plus starter, corners J-mold.

30 x 16 = 480 sqft. Otherwise correct.

Agree, but just seeing that I was multiplying 30x75 is where I was going wrong, re-centered my thinking. I then also came up with 1680 = (30+75)x8x2

Now just decide which siding to use, Wood looking siding, cheap vinyl, Faux panels, Imitation stone.
