Just finished doing Trex over a waterproof membrane on the upper and lower decks of my houseboat. Now I want to do some siding to breakup the slab look. First off, what ever I use has to be light weight and easy to install. I personally like the look of corrugated steel as I have it on my house. However, I'm not sure it will work in a marina environment. Here's a photo of my 900 sf tiny houseboat!

Spray it with rubber paint, paint it with marine grade paint or wrap it with stainless steel.

You pretty much described vinyl siding.

I think you're correct about metal being a bad choice for your environment.

Unless it's salt water, aluminum siding would also work. Might even be able to find some that looks like your corrugated steel.
