Are the blades on these things 16" or is it a series of smaller blades? What kind of things does one "tune up" on old tool such as this (aside from belt and motor).
If it is "as built", it will have a cutterhead consisting of two, three, or four straight knives about 16" long. Several design types are common, and I'm not familiar with that brand so I can't comment on specifics.
Tuning on a jointer of that age involves all the usual work, such as setting the cutterhead parallel to the table surfaces, squaring the fence, setting the outfeed table height. Additionally, you should check and adjust the parallelism of the tables to one another (they tend to sag as the machine ages). if the machine has Babbit bearings, they may require servicing.
I'm sure they guys at Owwm.org can guide you on the specifics of that particular make of machine.
