First off , let me say thanks to all those who have posted on this subject in the past. Im not an electrical guy but I was able to learn a ton off of old post. It has gotten me to where I am today with this project.
I’m trying to wire up my compressor that is run with a 1PH Baldor 10HP electric motor. I am having trouble getting the magstarter ( Siemens WS10-2301P) wiring configuration correct. I have attached some photos and my own wire diagram with the starter specs. Basically when I turn the switch to Auto or Hand, the coil engages, but all I get is a humm, and the motor doesn't start. I know it’s not my start or run capacitors for two reason ( 1. They are brand new 2. If I wire directly from the panel and throw the breaker on, the compressor/motor starts right up and runs fine ). SO I am guessing I have something wrong with my starter wiring.
Any help would be appreciated. I plan on talking with a electrical engineer buddy today but I know there are a lot of guys on here with a wealth of knowledge on this subject and may be able to steer me in the right direction. Thanks in advance
