Did the text and a 2d profile of the skull and wrenches on the CNC router then shaped the rest mainly with die grinders.

The rust is done by modern masters iron paint I use the rust accelerator to make it patina right away but it will rust over time without it, in another week or so it will be even more pronounced.

The rivets are done with modern masters copper.

great sign. I like the art work and the contrast with the border.
Any idea how many hours you spent making it?

I'd bet that made a pretty good mess in the shop while under construction!!

Its the first one so with drawing it up designing and general not screwing anything up around 6 hours. Since I am happy with how it came out I will make a few more for art shows. I have done just skulls they carve pretty fast hog out the mass with my carving chainsaw and clean up with the die grinders. The finishing can be the biggest time consumer on some of the pieces.

The carving work on these pcs is usually around 45 min I do rout a basic profile on the cnc router and shape the 3d by hand, its actually a lot faster to do this than do the whole thing on cnc and they all come out a little different in the end.
