New guy here with some questions.
I am grinding our concrete sidewalks (Dust Deputy Deluxe paired to a 12 gallon DeWalt shop vac -- DeWalt angle grinder/shroud/concrete grinding wheel, safety glasses with a 3M respirator mask and P100 bayonet filters). It's going very good so far (besides my screaming back and sunburnt skin - was 108 degrees here in New Mexico today) but I have some questions about my shop vac as well as silica disposal.
1. I am not using a filter bag in the shop vac but I do have a filter cover over the filter... so far so good, and while I am getting far less silica dust in the shop vac than the Dust Deputy I am getting some which does make me feel like I should be using a bag in the vac's cannister. Any recommendations or thoughts on:
Should I get a bag in there too? If so, what kind of type? I was reading about fleece lined bags but I am not finding any for shop vacs only extractors.
Thoughts/Suggestions?
2. The Dust Deputy is doing its job perfectly BUT now that I am fast approaching my first "dump out" how exactly do I get this hazardous stuff out of both the Dust Deputy and the shop vac and into bags without creating a toxic dust storm?
Also, is it worth putting a garbage or some other type of bag into the 5-gallon bucket of the Dust Deputy so all I would have to do on my "dump outs" is carefully close up the bag?
