Just bought a Silky folding saw.

Been thinking about one for a while, but after a week when I could have used one on a couple of occasions, I decided to add one to my ‘road bag’.

Following the advice of a farmer friend who raves about these, I went for the curved blade. If I don’t like it I’ll add a straight one.

An initial test on a bit of scrap suggests these are every bit as good as suggested.

Made in Japan, and replacement blades are readily available and inexpensive. I quite like the plastic case they come in too!

I have a Silky saw for tree trimming. It is terrific.
Recently got a Milwaukee battery-operated pole saw which is also nice around the house.
Totally agree on having that Silky folder in a road bag.
