Silver Beauty #440 Growler tester?

A friend asked me to replace power the cord on a Silver Beauty 440 growler. The growler only vibrate when I flip the switch to the on position. However I found that touching the probes together lights the tester bulb even with the switch in the off position. To me this indicated that there is 120 volts at the probe tips even when the switch is off (not a good thing). I installed the new cord to the same terminals as the original one. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this tester? I think it may have been wired incorrectly before I open it up.

Thanks for the response. Based on what I read on the Ford Barn it appears that the growler may be wired correctly. I will be very careful using it.
