Silverline Tools

Does anybody on here have any experience with Silverline tools, specifically the ratchet wrenches? I know they are a cheaper brand but I can't find much information at all about them. Their website makes them look like a quality brand, but I would like to hear your opinions.

They're a home user aimed brand, must be the biggest tool brand on UK Amazon, just Chinese junk really, but pretty well all tools sold in the UK are Chinese junk to be fair, its all most people want.

Consider Sealey as the next quality level up.

In general I agree with the above and I have told someone who rates them that if they ever touch one of my vehicles with a Silverline spanner I will stab them with it but some of their generic stuff is ok.
At the moment my truck is suspended securely in the air on a set of Silverline 6 ton stands, same as everyone elses but a fair bit cheaper. Paint is **** though.

Silverline are made of cheap chocolate covered in tinfoil..

I've only found two things that were any good (well they were OK). a magnetic tray for holding nuts and bolts even this fell apart after a few months. and the socket rails.. I think they buy both from someone else and rebrand.

check out the blurb... they give a whole 30 Day Guarantee..lol that says it all.. if they think it will only last 30 days how good is it going to be..

Junk, they are just another stick their name on the same Chinese stuff you can get from many places but they pick the cheapest they can get. Its one of the brands where you can buy a tool for one job and it will break while your doing it.
It was Started by the same guy who brought us Screwfix and Toolstation.

Thanks for the replies guys. The reason I asked is that I found a set of Silverline Ratchet Wrenches for $7 on Amazon when looking through the 70% off items, and didn't know if they would be atleast decent enough to put in a junkyard toolbox or not.

I would guess by the replies that "not good enough" would be a correct statement.
