Simple 3pt trailer mover

Hi everyone. Just thought I would show off the simple 3pt trailer mover I put together a couple weeks ago. I needed to be able to move my trailers around in the yard more easily, and hooking them to the drawbar is a pain.

I like. How about a pic of the tractor? Ford? Just remember to have plenty of tongue weight if you pulling a load as three points don't have down force.

I made one years ago and it is so handy ! You don't need to leave the tractor seat.
I used receiver tubing , works great for other uses too.

And the other was 72 bucks shipped, with the pins from Sportsmansguide.com.
If you put a receiver where you welded that ball you can attach rakes and dethatchers and drags and pintles and hooks and eyes and spreaders and sprayers without diddling with the three point at all. Attachment sprayer and such doesn't need to be a three point.... That's why I bought the 72 dollar one(delivered today). The hitch by itself was not a multi task tool.

Consider putting a ball mount on your bucket. I can back a trailer through a needle eye with a front mount hitch.

I'd buy yours for a hundred bucks at a yard sale. It's nice work.

I agree, receiver tube adds a lot of versatility. I plan on adding a ball to the loader bucket as well.

I built this a few years ago from an old pickup bumper. I also have a goose neck ball on the top for moving said trailers. I use it allot moving trailers around the place.

Mine has a chain that goes to the draw bar with a big bolt to limit upward travel...not a bad addition since most 3pt systems don't have downward pressure.

I actually had the chain save me the first time I used my dump trailer with the tractor. I filled the trailer up with dirt and it was fine until I went to dump...weight shifted back, you get the idea

I've made a few 3 point hitches. A couple of the most recent. Gooseneck ball is handy.

I have a 3 point mount that I picked up at an auction a few years ago and it rarely gets used since i put a hole in my bucket to mount a ball on it, much easier to move things around in a tight area on the front.

Also nice little shibaura ford, my dad has a 1710 synchromesh with the same loader as yours on it and I have a 1920 shuttle shift with a 7108 loader on it. Both have been solid little machines for us.

I have since purchased and installed a quick hitch so this now has quick hitch bushings on it. But honestly, lately, to move both my boat and 10k lb landscape trailer, i just place the corner endge of my bucket into the ball socket of the trailers, lift up, and move it where i need to.

Excellent posts. I was just looking for a 3 point hitch as I still just have a 2" ball on the back of the MIGHTY SS16 for towing trailer or whatever around the yard

I love mine. When I bought it I actually planned on turning around and selling it for a profit, but I seriously couldn't bring my self to part with it now. The absolute only thing I would change would be adding power steering.
