Simple ? for you electric guys

Neighbor of mine has a big electric 110 volt sign that has an arrow in it.When you plug it in stays on solid, he wants it to blink. Is it possible? I dont know a thing bout electricity so I,ll get it from you experts.Thanks

You can use a simple timer relay for this purpose but the model you use depends on the amp load> you may have to run a secondary output relay for higher amps and just energize the coil with the timer output.

Open the panel where all the wires meet there might be a flasher in there already. I had to unhook several of these years ago because there's a law here so many feet from state hwy.

All you gotta do is put in one of these bulbs:

All you need is a flasher relay rated for the LED load. You could probably source one from a local sign company.

simple fix put in series in the power line a flourescent starter switch it is a simple cheap flasher unit

Thank ya,ll for answers. Let me figure out what a fluorescent starter switch is ,and ill go from there.

BIG.JIM.so if he get one of them from ebay,gets someone to hook in in power cord of sign,when powered up it will flash? Thanks for your time

yes can alter speed of flash by changing watt size of starter ,sockets are available too so you can fit internal to what you are fitting it, i first found it in a cheap shop sign with a filament bulb in it
