I've been looking at various threads regarding remote lighting control. My situation is a bit different, and I can't make out which, if any, solution is appropriate.

I have a horse barn that's about 150 feet from the house. I'd like to be able to turn on the lights as I walk, preferably with the phone that's already in my pocket. Something as simple as a motion detector would work, except that it would be on all the time between the horses and all the rats, possums, raccoons, etc., that are constantly wandering around.

I've seen mention of Lytron Maestro, but that includes dimming and needs a separate remote. Belkin WeMo doesn't seem to be highly regarded,a nd also seems to need a WiFi connection to operate. X10 needs a running server, as does one of the others...HomeLinc? My head is spinning... :eyecrazy:

So, what I want is the simplest solution: just a simple on-off, preferably with a phone control, but a separate remote might work if that's the only way.
