Made this chair this weekend the basic design has been around forever. The straight back leg make for very simple construction. All joints are mortise and tenon.

The legs are sugar maple the rest of the chair is cherry it will get a clear coat finish as it ages the color will really come out.

I got rapped up in what I was doing so forgot to take progress pics.

Nice chair - I like the curves around the back and seat, but the armrests seem like they could have some more flair to really make the piece stand out.

Funny you said that I added some corbels under the arm on the front leg gives more support and a little dress up while keeping simple lines.

It looks awesome! I always wanted to do something like this. How many hours did you spend?

Well its the first one so I have around 4 hrs or so CAD time I like to make my own design. Then the weekend making it as of now I would guess 20-25 hours.

Now that I like the design and fit, I milled up wood to make a run of ten, the time will be greatly reduced.
