I came across some simplex jacks. The models are a5 and a17. They are in good condition. What are these worth? I bought them cheap enough that I think I can resell for a profit.

I see them sell on farm auctions occasionally, and prices all over the map, with no rhyme or reason. $20-$125 seems to be the going rate in these parts.

Looks like the a17 is bringing anywhere from $180-$400 bucks on EBay, and the a5 around $50-100, those are Sold listings, not crackhead asking prices.

Are they aluminum bodies or steel ?

About 10yrs ago, I paid between $100-$150 for each of my A17's. A little more for the Aluminum ones, a little less for the steel one. I think the prices are still about the same, but ebay prices are higher than what I see on the local level.

If you sell them and have to ship, don't put them in cardboard boxes. Build a padded crate out of scrap plywood. No matter how well you pack a cardboard box, it won't survive the mass rolling around during shipping. I've seen the results, the cardboard was in shambles, the crates were perfect.

(I bought 6 RR jacks from 10ton to 25ton to lift a house)
