I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this on Ebay.

I have a set of those somewhere around that I purchased back when Sears sold them. I used them for a little while, but didn't really like them at all. The heads are waaaaay to wide to be very useful under the hood and they really can't take much torque. Personally, I don't see the attraction. Am I missing something? :headscrat

I quess I better go look for them in the garage, clean them up and make some stupid money on Ebay.

I have a 1/4" "Lifetime" (not SS) that I picked up at a garage sale. I use it very occasionally because it has a thinner head than any other ratchet I own.

I never understood the SS attraction of those rats. They always seem to close at a crazy high price.

That is serious money for some not too serious but rare ratchets. I'm more interested in the rebuild kit though. I would pay $10 just to see which OEMs name is printed on that kit. That would tell us who made the SS & Lifetime ratchets......

Did anybody here on the GJ score these ratchets and rebuild kit??? If so, please post or PM me.

Thanks

Why not just go by the date code???

Ill attach a .pdf I made for the rebuild kits & date codes. Seems like if you knew the date codes of those rats, then you could narrow it down or even pinpoint who made them?

*Edit*
I cant attach the file, even compressed its to large....they date codes are in a sticky.

I think what you are missing is the opportunity to make some money. You can't blame the seller if folks want to bid high. Well worded auction got the attention of some folks. I just wish I had some to sell.

fatfillup - I think you nailed it right on the head. Throwing in the repair kit as part of the deal certainly was an eye catcher. I believe the seller, draftpick, is one of our own here on GJ and I say, good for him.
