Single Bridge Jack on 4 post lift question

I only had a budget for 1 rolling Bridge jack for use with my 4 post lift. My intent is to use it on 1 side at a time or use it to lift 1 side then put jacks on my bridge tray and slide the rolling bridge jack to the other side to lift the vehicle completely.

I am trying to figure out if there is any advantage to me putting the Hydraulic mechanism in either specific direction.

I realize when sliding it front or back the mechanism will either be inside on 1 and outside on the other but not sure if there is an advantage to one over the other.

I have air on both rails of my lift so that is not an issue, Many may think I am overthinking this (and maybe I am) but my experience has been someone on this forum usually knows the answer from experience and I really only want to install this once.

Any and all thoughts are greatly appreciated! Thanks

I have 2 bridges and I have both with the handle facing the rear. No particular reason except when I park them they are at the front of the lift.

The only regret I have on my 4 post lifts is that I did not get 2 sets of jacks. I bought 1 lift for my shop and another so that my father could use it to clean the wheels of his classic truck(that he polishes daily) without getting down on his knees(he does not do that as well as he used to) He desperately wanted the jacks so we got him a combo set. I am driving to his house this weekend to borrow one of his jacks as I have found it safer to get the tires up with the bridge jack the anything else. I do not see any reason for a 2 post lift if you have 2 bridge jacks.

I have two bridge jacks on my Extra long 4 post. Short lift probably in the way with two jacks.
Glad I do have two as I use then all the time. Fast and easy.
