I'm in the process of getting quotes for a 12x20 shed so I can (finally) free up working space in my 22x22 detached garage. It will be built on a concrete slab but used and permitted as a shed (barn doors instead of overhead door); so I imagine pricing should be similar to a 12x20 single car.
So far I've gotten quotes just north of $10K which includes the slab, hardiboard siding, 4 windows, and a small set of barn doors; but does not include wiring, paint, or interior finishing, I will complete these myself after construction. The area is clear of trees, has easy access to cement truck, and is reasonably level.
I've helped build several structures like this, but this is my first shot at having one built. Does this seem like a fair price? (to me this seems like the 'we don't really want to mess with it' price)
Without prying too much, how much have others forked over for this size building in NC or the southeast?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
