Very cool, its funny how a little addition like that can change a space. I just received a large RECARO decal I had ordered and i'm stoked to put it up.

You should paint the workbench when you paint that lower cabinet at the same time! Did a great job with that peg board. I really only think those look good when its set up like you did, very organized. Nice touch with the diamond plate light switch cover.

It's kind of strange how excited I am for your RD floor to arrive and be installed.

Hell, if you're taking credit for his black trim then I'm taking credit for the larger style Racedeck pattern he's using. I can be shameless too, it ain't MY money:D:D:D:D

First off, this build is amazing! As for a workbench top, I found a contractor who just gutted a kitchen. I took the old kitchen counter and used that. Cheap, stylish and it's held up great.

Just an idea.

Oh trust me, if i came across something like that I would definitely ****** it up. What I would really like to get ahold of is some stainless steel. :rocker:

Very nice! It certainly cleans it up. Ugh now I need to do mine ASAP!

What color are you going to paint the workbench?

Oh hell yeah! You must be quite impressed with the way that turned out. I am.

I could not be happier. What a change that made! Thanks

Funny you ask, I got this crazy idea earlier. I ended up with quiet a few extra tiles and pieces cut from triming. I'm thinking about maybe screwing or glueing them to the front on the bench and to the legs. I'll cut them up nice and neat of course. I think it would look pretty good. I might even do the steps too. However, I have been drinking for about 6 hours now. So, I better think about it tomorrow after I sober up :drunk:

EXCELLENTE . . . . Bravo . . . . Total Transformation . . . Kudos!!

Looks like you've elevated your single garage to NEXT LEVEL . . . . time to Submit to Yamaha . . . . . but you've got to hide the Honda 50 . . . or complain that it doesn't run right!! Then Yamaha would help out the "little man" (ie your son) with a new mini YAMMER in matching colors to his dad's!!

Make it happen . . . . show us the Cycle magazine article with your son on the new ride!!

Like they say, NIGHT AND DAY difference. Nice job dude. Now to showcase it even more in your next post put a pic of the garage before you started then right below the same angle with the new look.

congrats!

And....I obviously had to take another look at the pics, since everything else is now perfect i would suggest painting the fascia of the workbench black, and try and cover that pipe in black as well. Don't mean to be bossy lol, but its my OCD taking over and doing the typing.

Good ideas, I do have a few things here and there that still need addressed, the workbench especially.

Looks great from a fellow Illinois Guy...(Chicago). Really nice job.

How did you deal with the cracks in the floor with the new floor tiles. I have the same issue.

Thanks guys, As far as the cracked/uneven floors under the tiles. Its only noticeable in a couple spots, the only thing that happens is that the floor flexes a bit when you step in a certain spot, nothing major.

That's great. I know, early on, you were a bit nervous you'd have to do some repair, but this works out perfectly.

The "before" and "after" shots are jaw dropping!

Dude, amazing overall transformation!! Totally psyched for you cuz this day has been long in progress, but pays off tremendously.

GREAT JOB

There's a risk of me sounding **** when I mention one thing I noticed, though (and I'm sure you've already thought it out cuz you've covered everything spectacularly so far). But please tell me you're going to replace that piece of flex vent tube with one 90, one 45 and a piece of straight pipe to get rid of that insanely-too-long lint trap?

"risk of sounding ****" was an understatement wasn't it?

Your idea to finish the bench sounds like it will compliment the rest of the garage nicely

Keep up the hard work and keep celebrating the results. Bet u can't wait til it's riding season again, huh?
