Fingers crossed.

I've never been a big chrissy boy. It a fun and all. But never anything I waited for all year.

But the Mrs is a total fiend for chrissy. And it's been a while since we have had any sort of decent enjoyment out of Christmas. So it's been nice watching her go out of her mind making sure everything is absolutely spot on and we have a bunch of "orphans" coming ( family friends who are relatively new to Tassie and don't have any one to Christmas with) so it will be very nice to share something with people :D more a spirit of Christmas kind of thing :D

Just finished today's prep for the food. Ginger and honey soy marinated beef roast. Served sliced and cold with Christmas Ham, cold prawns. Hot roast lamb tomorrow along with veggies. One of the orphans is vegan, so I started making a vegan gravy for her... Turned out so well I simply made more and will serve it to everyone lol. She also gets a vegan "roast" (basically the stuffing you find in chickens and turkeys lol) which isn't too bad really :D

And we made a coconut cream chocolate ripple cake for one of the deserts for her also :D

One of the guests is an internationally regarded chef... I'm retarded trying to impress him, but you know hi ow it goes :D

So it's been a big few weeks. With christmas, Leo's birthday, mrs jinja birthday, chemotherapy, New years eve .... Things have been hard going lol.

But we kicked on and made it through.

Today we got a start on cleaning the shed so I can get back into some sort of "work".

This was the shed at the start of things. Anna did a great job. I pulled the pin shortly after this and went to "look after Leo"... Lol.

Still needs some sweeping and reorganizing. But at least I can pretend to kick on.

I received a few box's of suspension arms and componants to keep adventuring on the irs plans.

Thanks for dropping by guys :D

Thanks for the support guys.

I have my up days and down days. So long as I can still keep playing in the shed and hopefully building someonthing for the little fella to remember his dad, it's enough to keep me going :D

And you get to the point where you either have to sit on the couch and wait to die or go and do something instead. So I figure doing somehtig instead is the better example to set the little fella

Jinjaninja, sorry to be late to the party(?) but you better than most knows that every day is a gift (even the flaming bag of poop days). None of us knows how much time we have left but knowing it isn't a big number is a heavy burden.

It's great to see you spending time with Leo because that's what he'll remember. My son turned 2 shortly after my release from the hospital and I've been blessed to witness him (and his older sister) grow old and share time with their grown-up children. The end doesn't matter as much as the journey and you've got an amazing wife and little buddy to share it with.

On the days you feel well enough, go out in the shed and do something. I don't have your welding skills but I can grind and buff my failures enough to impress a 2-year-old (not Leo, of course). When you don't feel well enough to do your work in the shed, have Leo build or break something out there with you.

I do feel a bit of a connection, having driven with my wife and mother from Launceston to Hobart along the east coast back in 1990. It's a beautiful part of our planet.

If you have a few minutes, you might want to add a link to this thread in your Signature.

And last but not least, Happy New Year and best of everything in 2017.

Hey mate, cheers for the words :D

I'm looking forward to hopefully getting some time in the shed with Leo. But for now he is terrified of the big noises lol. Even with little ear muffs on and stuff he just doesn't cope.

We spend a bit of time playing blocks together etc, and enjoying a great passion I never spent enough time doing, Lego :D

He doesn't follow instructions. #trulyobvious but it really tests my patience lol. I'll try and sort the link in the signature thing, thats a good idea :D

Jinjaninja, I wish I knew how to connect with a 2-year-old but my experience is that there's not much rhyme or reason. I spent more time with my grandfather than with my father in my early childhood. He didn't bequeath anything to me when he died but I had the wonderful memories of our time together. When my grandmother passed, I found two of his things that mean the world to me. One was a screwdriver he used when repairing fishing reels and building HO trains with me. The other is a knife he used to slit the throats of chickens that I was holding over a barrel.
attachment.php

My grandfather spent his adult life working as a butcher in the meat processing industry and in his own little store. I didn't truly appreciate the knife because it looked like it had always been a filleting knife. Turns out it's a Russell Cutlery & Supply Co. knife that started out looking like the one below. It brings back memories of my grandfather at the table, sharpening a carving knife with a steel before slicing up the turkey, ham or roast.
attachment.php

Just being with Leo will create the memories. The shed full of tools may or may not mean as much to him as it does to you so don't stress out about the "things" you give him because I know he'll remember the "times."

A good friend of mine has been asking me to make him a nice twin 2.5 inch muffler replacement for his fpv pursuit purple people eater :)

I knew it was gonna take me a while, but Aaron was happy doing the spanner spinning and this was a long weekend so we planned for Aaron to stay the night and try and get 2 solid days to get it all done.

We got close .... But no cigar :(

I failed miserably to get in action pics lol. I'll grab some next time I'm in the shed.

We got almost all the welding done bar 50mm of weld for the muffler inlet. And ran out of gas... Damn

Tried dropping purge back to like 1 lpm and swapping out my big cup for a little 8 cup and a drop in gas flow... Still not enough lol.

So I'll grab a new bottle, smash the final weld and then do the brackets on the weekend :)

I'm totally wrecked. But really glad with having done some shed time for the first time in like 6 months really...

Sounds like you had a great Christmas. Great to see you're getting some shed time in, but more importantly spending some quality time with your son too.

Dammit. Had a great post but appear to have lost it lol

Tldr version. Disappeared for a while as we had some renovations done on the house. I had a win with my permanent disability insurance claim and settled on a plan for moderate improvements.

Unfortunalty this has soured somewhat and we have been left with an entirely unfinished house :(

I won't go into it too much as this is a garage place, suffice to say that literally every single job he started is incomplete.

The final conversation we had was 3 weeks after we moved back in and 5 weeks since he had done any real work here. The quality of the conversation guarantees we will never hear from him again, but it certainly made me feel better. I have spent my life never saying anything about someone behind their back that I wouldn't say to their face. And I won't start now.

Alas I am now left with a lot of things to complete (ranging from touching up paint to removing entire walls) very little in the way of skills (that's why I employed a professional), funding (all the money has been spent and I'm back to living on pension welfare) or talent lol.

So once again the she'd is a dumping ground. I can barely scrape on and out the door lol. But we have plans. There will be a car port extension to the front of the shed to allow for more work space and shelter for the little corolla. We have run power out to the shed. Once I can get some room, we will run all the lights and a bunch of power points. I am really really lucky that we have found a good friendship with a local sparky. He is proving extremely helpful and generous with his time and skills.

Once I get the chance to clean things out, I have an order at my old work waiting for enough steel for all new benches. I have salvaged an old kitchen bench from before the Reno to use as a dedicated bicycle repair build station in the shed. Also hoping I can scrape enough coin together to get a lathe and small mill. Unfortunately this is looking less and less likely though as we asses hoe much we need to spend to commplete the mess of the house.

As an example of the failure. This will be my only whinge lol promise.

We got a brand spanking new bathroom. And the builder used mdf for the shower wall. Mdf. With no attempt to seal the mdf. At all.the face had has a single coat of water proof before the tiling. But the top and sides and bottom area all unsealed un painted mdf.... In a freaking shower FFS...

So we have to pull this half out and redo this section of the bathroom from scratch. :(

I'm totally devastated. This is a guy who has 40 years experiance as a builder. Someone I trusted with the only money I will ever have access to. He knew exactly what was at stake. He knows I'm going to die. He had me up on the roof with W pressure washer for 3 days cleaning the roof for the painter to save coin. I ended up in hospital with a hernia. He never bothered to organise the painter. Great. We have a clean roof. :(

Sorry I promised I wouldn't whinge lol

Damm! that has got to hurt in lots of different ways.
I'm guessing that you really dont want to deal with the stress of trying to sort out this "builder" but some karma has a way of fighting back.
I'm sure that a TV show like "A Current affair" would love to chase this guy, let everyone know how much of a ***** he is, maybe they could even shame him into refunding some of your money.
At least expose his shoddy workmanship and lack of ethics to a massive television audience so everyone knows.

Hopefully it would only take one phone call and a link to this thread for ACA to get involved.

To clarify, there isn't that much "shoddy" work. It's not great work. But I dont think it will fall down on our heads too soon. The bathroom wall and various other examples are basically brain farts and far as I can see.

Where he really really failed in my eyes was the organisation...

Things like he recons he couldne have the shower screen measured till the tiles went on (I call ********. You know the angles of the walls and any decent tiler can accommodate to a level of accuracy a smoothness requirered... The only needed known is how off the piss the wall and the bath tub is and this won't change with the tiling, the measurement just needs To.be adjusted 10mm for the depth of the tile and glue, but whatever) so he waits a further 3 weeks from the tiling done (3 weeks after we move back in with nonbathroom and no kitchen) to get it measured then we find out its another 4 week turnaround....

One of the first jobs completed was a plumbing extension out to the shed. Future proofing in case we ever put a shower or toilet out there. Our instructions were "we are trenching out there for powers, so may as well run the plumbing required in case we ever want to put a bathroom or granny flat out there"

That was 12 weeks before the big blow up. It was still an open 100mm sewer pipe when we moved back in. The plumbers had been back 3 separate times and not completed because he simply hadn't organised or informed them if what was actually happening... Annnnnnnnnd... Between the tradesmen in charge, the plumber in charge and the apprentice doing all the labour, not one of the Muppet freaking morons felt that running water along with the sewerage was useful..... FFS how do you have a toilet or granny flat without water? We had a 7m trench from the tap FFS....it went from the tap....it is now all covered with deck. The only way to get water to the shed is to trench the whole back yard or dodgy it under the deck and half trench it... It's those sorts of examples of stuff that piss me off.

I was paying him money (we never haggled him on price at all, we always maintained quality of finish eat more important than bargains) to organise a job. And he did a piss poor job.

The big blow up was 5 weeks after he stopped working on our job. When we moved back in we had huge mice problems because he hasn't sealed the walls to the floors. We didn't have a manhole cover, justa hole. There are still 5 good sized holes in the exterior wet wall from plumbing changes he hasn't patched...

I know we should be fighting the good fight. But after everything with centrelink (social wealthfare for out American friends lol) we simply don't have the emotional energy to fight. And with trying very hard to get my son on to the right foot (he was recently diagnosed with autism) we have a lot on our plate. It's one of the reasons we placed so much trust in the builder. With my health concerns, and getting Leo set on the right path, we simply don't have the capacity to micro manage a 55 year man with 40 years experience. #shrugs

In the end I was genuinely concerned my wife would consider hurting herself. Or not waking up. So I made the decision to get him out of our lives. It wasn't the best decision I agree, but it was the best for us right now. She is happy again. Kind of lol, and I got to have my 5 minutes of honesty.

The closest I am able to get to any sort of public war is asking in facebook locally for assistance in finishing the work. The conversation then takes its own course as to why I am having to finish of we had a builder so these things?

It's very passive aggressive I agree and not normally how I would do things lol but it keep the Mrs happy and the small town minds at bay.

On the up side I am getting really really good at using "no more gaps"

Just little detail stuff to. Like since when did people stop paying attention or giving a ****? The kitchen was sold to us as total custom kitchen. We had originally priced it all off the kit kitchen and do it yourself from bunnings. The builder pushed up into these guys as totally cutom and they install and it's all perfect

The bench doesn't even line up with the cabinets. The cabinet at the top on the edge of the kitchen.... They just left a hole.... The plaster goes all the way, the top kick board just stops...that has happend twice. Hell the top cabinet isn't even square to the bottom counter top.

When all this was pointed out he simply whined "old houses arnt square"

FFS... That's why it was supposed to be custom. And it's not hard to slip a few mm space in behind the cabinet to square it up with the bench top... Or run 25mm extra kikboard so it looks like it was actually meant to be there...

In the end when I was pulling the cabinetry out of the pathetic laundry... I found a bunnings sticker. We are almost certain our "custom kitchen" is simply stuff from bunnings or the like and we paid an extra tg to get it installed..:(

:( Man, that *****. I know the situation you're in, rough to have someone not keep their word on all of that. Glad to hear you've been getting some local help to help finish it off. And I have to say, I think you're probably best off having seen the last of that particular "builder".

It's really upsetting for my wife.

All she wanted was a laundry lol. She hasn't had one in any house we have had for 20 odd years lol. That's all she wanted.

That was her baby. She sent the builder this picture as her #priorites #dreamresult

c94ca1b5713aee35601221f340efad35.jpg

The laundry was being built out off the dinning room as aeuropean style enclosed. He had almost total freedom in measurements etc within reason. But that's what he was asked to deliver.

586dbfef5d63a3b6dcf15e10a651c179.jpg

That was the state of the laundry when we gave up on the builder. That's how he left it "finished". Didn't even hang the drier. The stud he hung specifically for the drier means it was less than 100mm off the only bench space.

So I set about trying to organise some sort of improvements for my wife. As much as she was trying very hard not to be upset, she was devastated that he had cocked it up so badly. Beyond that it just smacked of don't give a f#&k. Not even a power point under the counter top for the washing machine. Had to use an extension chord FFS till we got our sparky to come through and out a power point in the cupboard

122491d71e7cc70188366730a599f8df.jpg

Current setup. I have put some hangers on the left to he help tidy things up a bit. The broom closet he put there couldn't even fit a broom lol. And because of the stupid window he fitted we can't fit a cupboard in there. The drier has to go far right. But to get that in a position that worked, I have been forced to removed 200mm of wall to get the door clearance to open.

I will use a set of birth fold doors to tidy things up. It's hardly a stunning laundry...

:( I'm upset I can't make something beautiful for my wife. But it is very functional and once it has the doors on it, it will be fine and hidden We plan on putting some silly large colourful mural on the doors to bring some colour into the house lol

The other thing worrying us is the floors have all split really badly since being sanded and polished. The sections where he placed new lengths where we had walls removed have shrunken and caused huge (3 and 4mm) splits the length of the house... Not sure how to deal with these. Google is telling me an appropriate epoxy glue and then sand and clear... Will see how that adventure goes. So glad I pad 3 grand for the floors to be done and apparently it's perfectly acceptable that 4 weeks later it's all split and splintered... "old houses move you know".... #getoutofjailfreecard

Yeah it's functional lol.

And once I get big and brave and order the bifold hinges etc and sort the doors out it will be nice enough.

Hopefully once we have stumbled through the house and sorted things out there I can make some solid progress on the little she'd.

Plans were rather extravagant at one stage with thoughts of replacing the outside with wetter boards to try and match the house a bit. And recycle one of the big double doors from the original house.

I also had plans for a smallish lathe and mill in the workshop To Help me on my way to making bike frames and playing with cars while I play the waiting game with Dr death lol.

Alas, with all the blow outs and stuff that needs finishing on the house, I don't think those dreams will see much in the way of realisation.

Currently the plan is to put an extended carport over the corolla but front. This gives me a protected and lit area work in and frees up space in the shed proper. It won't have proper walls as such, but I'll run open decking boards to allow for wind blocks and a bit of privacy.

All the crappy (I'm trying really hard to not swear on here, but I'm not very good at it lol) benches are being torn down and thrown out. Starting from scratch.

The front left at you walk in will have a repurposed kitchen cabinet countertop setup with a tool wall specifically for servicing and working on bikes.

The back left and wall face were set aside for the lathe and mill. Then the full length of the right side of these she'd was planned for brand new full metal work bench. Sunken bit for the cold cut saw. Plenty of rack space for spares and offcut etc.
I'm playing with ideas for alignment tables. Local hare and Forbes guys have a granite one that looks pretty Mickey Mouse... But I'm unsure how you go about attaching the measuring devices to it?

My frame jig is coming along slowly, and will remain fairly moveable one wheels.

That leaves the bulk of the workshop space as fluid and possible on terms of size and application. I hope lol.

The main uses I see or hope are building bike frames, servicing bikes and making random bits for cars. (exhausts and rollcages etc etc) but as things develop and my skills increase I want to be able to take on as much as possible

Also lookong at trying my hand at carbon fibre manufacture for the cars and bikes. So again having large areas to set up for clean work on things like bonnets etc will be handy given its such a small space to start with.

If I keep it organised and pay attention to cleanliness it will stay efficient. It's when I get lazy and things just get dumped in there that the size limitations really stand out. :/ like now. I have to climb over the washing machine to get in the front door lol. which is hard with a hernia lol.

In other news I have made some head way of sorts with my engine plans for the little corolla.

Still going the reduced capacity route to legally register and engineer the car once done.

But instead of resleaving the block, we are going to destroke using an offset grind...

Solves a few issues at once, and gets me over a few hurdles. Not the best solution at all, but currently it's the best we have lol. So hopefully that will power along in the next few months and be ready to go in the shell sometime around christmas ?

Had a bad day yesterday. So stuck on the couch trying to recover and avoid a trip to hospital today. Thought I'd add a little love to gg..

Yesterday's adventures involved moving my boys cubby house back 6 or 7 feet. Couldn't come up with any real simply ways of doing it, but remember I have a block and tackle. Lol.

451a3475e2c4185155006485a3c4f452.jpg

My tough as nails wife after taking over the dragging duties. 4 ratchet strap sets, half a dozen fence pailings as supports to stop the cubby falling over lol and a whole lot of "geez I hope this works..."

fbbeb4026aba0b6de53213848697929e.jpg

And we got it sorted. :D

Also made a move on trying to sort the TV wall in the lounge room...

70a7ec5d3438d583976fa4ed9a56f358.jpg

The plan was to have the tellie hung in a sunken cavity above the fireplace with a similar sunken cavity with shelves above the wood cupboard. Builder made a complete mess off it including leaving food and rubbish in the wall cavity and leaving a 30kg piece of mdf to near fall off the wall onto our kid ffs.

So I got a freind round to help me pull off the mdf box he made (yeah mdf around a fireplace.... Go figure) old mate hasn't even located studs to hang the tellie off. His plan was apparently to hang the bracket straight off the mdf with screws? Check Google Images for the amount of failed tellie falls caused by that... :/

The step out box at the top isn't even attached to anything... It's just bits of wood wedged in....

So I guess I'm gonna get plenty of practice at plastering lol.

Plan will be to build a false wall out of studwork then sheet with fire rated cement board, 2 studs placed for the tellie bracket. Use the same stainless heat shields I used previously around the heat box to direct the heat :)

There is a part of me that wants to make the frame out of steel. Purely cos I am a lot more comfortable with steel and work a lot faster lol. Wood always does my head in lol

So has a good day yesterday.

You HUgE amounts of progress. But progress is progress right..

123a718d6e4107803c6a045c4b7ed736.jpg

So I started on clearing out the end Of The shed I had set aside for working /servicing cleaning bikes. This will be a clean area (hopefully) and also the start of a total strip out.

f2f75b349426ff3cd7b093de703bde00.jpg

Half way through. You can see the clutter and mess lol. It's too big to try and deal with at once. The skip bin was mainly for the wife to clear out the last Of The rubbish left by the Builder and the such. she did an amazing job carting most of a skip worth of concrete and **** over 3 days.

I snuck bits and bobs in as I could lol.

Slowly I got to a point I could get my "workbench" in place. It's a reclaimed kitchen cabinet from the renovation. Working on bikes etc it will be really handy in terms of visually making me keep tidy etc. Well that's the plan lol.

eb6a6cb7fe146ac1f09682253956fa4c.jpg

Ready to paint it up. Lol. Good thing I didn't retire to become a graffiti artists right lol. Molon labe is a little nod to my son.

Once I have some paint on the board I'll go about hanging my tools and sorting the rest Of The she'd out.

I have some nice double glass wood doors and door frame that is going to go in the side for more light. That's the best project I think. Once I have the rest Of The benches pulled down and removed with good access to the walls etc, my mate is coming through and wiring the shed for power and lights. I'm soooooooo excited lol to have a shed that doesn't run of a god dam extension chord.

I'm other Adventures, during the first part Of The build, the Builder needed some help barrowing concrete for the stumps for the deck. We tried to explain my condition and limitations but he refused to let Anna do it... Anyways, sure enough, the first barrow load eats sh#t. I'm dying from a debilitating disease ffs. Anyway, Builder and concreter just watch me shovel all the concrete onto a cardboard Matt on the driveway. I figured it would make it easy to move for the Builder when he cleaned up.

Turns out I missed the memo about Builder don't clean up after themselves. So far we have spent 1500 dollars on skip bins just to remove the rubbish and scrap building materials and left over **** like this.

So here was my solution to lifting a couple hundred kilos of concrete into a skip bins. Anyone squeamish please.... You have been warned... Lol

I needed to lift it a few times to be able to rejig it and get enough stability etc.

Here's where itgot tricky. Lol. Or I got stupid. I had room under the skip for the legs. But Obviosuly as soon as the wheels got hit hw grass, they sunk. I had no way to cleanly swivel my load over the bin....

But never one to give up...

I ratchet strapped her over....

What's the old saying? If it works, it ain't stupid? [emoji14] I know the ohs guys would have had kittens. But sometimes you just need to get it done right? Lol.

So still trying to get the car port built :(

No Builder is interested. Starting to think we are simply "those" customers and our expectations of someone actually finishing a job are just too high... #oldmanrant

Finally a she'd based update guys :D wonders will never cease...

Only small. But a big change for me.

We rescued these doors from the Renos. They are internal so I need to put some decent external quality paint in them and sort some sort of porch out to protect em. But the added light is magic and Anna can Now keep an eye on me much easier in case I hurt myself or have a turn or something.

Really pleased with how it went and hot it all turned out. Having never fitted a door frame before I was flying blind, and it's a bit agricultural lol but it certainly works pretty well. And the doors shut well which is more than can be said for the doors the professional Builder did in the house...

And for those what know, this weekend is bathurst weekend. I have a bit of history with this weekend, specifically missing the big days racing with hospital visits since moving to Tasmania.

Hopefully, fingers crossed, this year we manage a incident free adventure.

To celebrate that fact, I have managed to complete my TV wall project.

The builder or fail managed to completely **** this job up. So my attempt is far from perfect. But it works, and is a million times more appropriate than the piece of **** I paid actual money for...

Very nice Jinjaninja. The French doors on the shed will make it seem less like a cave and more visibility for the speed-dial safety partner is a good idea for all of us. Good to see you got the TV mounted and returned the window in the lounge to its intended purpose.

I may be alone in this but your concrete slab move into the dumpster seems perfectly reasonable to me. And no harm to the engine hoist is a great result. I'm enjoying your posts so please keep it up.

You're not alone. I thought it was perfectly reasonable :D

The Mrs wasn't overly Sold on the idea. But the house mlrtgae still has death insjarance on it so I guess she figured "what's the worst that can happen right? " lol

I need to sort some sort of porch out for the big doors. We had a big fall of rain last night and the roof overhang kept the rain off the top half of the doors, so it's not a real big issue for water run off or anything. Just want it for the completeness.

An working on plans for the car.port extension. At the start of this we had dreams of a new shed. But reality is the money didn't stretch all that far lol.

So this is there next best thing. The shed is getting power and lights, and an extension car port to allow for me to work in the sun and rain without too much issue and give a bit more room.

Any of the local Aussie players give me some hints on how big the beams and how many I might need for this be done in steel?

Also looking at smallish hobby lathe and mill. Need to keep it under 6k delivered if possible. Would really like 38mm lathe. But not A deal breaker.

Something like these guys? I know nothing about this side of metal work at all. Hoping that these will be good enough for me now (they absolutely are) but also offer an ability to grow with me and my skills as I learn and improve? Any thoughts?

Also, random information for anyone interested, I recently got classiefed as a para athlete. C3. Means I can now compete a little (not heap of local options but a bit going on.... ) and also a very small miniscule and tiny chance of aiming to pull on the green and gold for paralympics in Tokyo (if I live that long lol)

So I need to take the time to do a proper update. But I've had some more recent updates medically that have interrupted Adventures and with summer hitting (in tassie for god's sake I'm complaining about the heat... Go figure) I'm finding it real hard to get much useful done.

I had really hoped yl have my carport up to have some shade to continue work out he silver sled. But with the dramas with the builder that has not happened yet.

Anyways. What I have managed, is sorting my baby mill and lathe out.... For now the mill is on a terrible stand. But it won't fall over. Lol. I've got some steel ordered to make a new cut bench and a proper mill stand.

I have virtually zero experience with these tools. But to follow my dreams of hobby building bike frames while we deal with this medical stuff, to tool up cost similar sort of money as buying the mill and lathe. And this way I get to learn more skills, and I am sure I won't run out of ideas for things to make for the future lol

I'm aware of the "don't buy china" attitude amongst many of the regulars here. But I simply couldn't find anything for less than 5 times the price made in aus. #shrugs. The guys I got it from were super helpful and I'm really looking forward to finding some energy and time to learning lol.

I have looked at the local tafe for basic machining classes but they are unwilling at this stage to let me attend due to my medical stuff :( so it looks like it will be YouTube and common sense... :/ lol

I've also been running the wiring for the new lights and power points. My sparky is a good mate. So the plan is I am running all the wires and doing all the tiresome crappy work and he will come through and fit it all off to make sure it doesn't catch ön fire. It's not the neatest electrical cabling you have ever seen I'll admit. But it's fun doing soemthing different.

Turns out ladders arnt my friend lol... I didn't fall off or nothing but getting up and down is a struggle for the gummy leg.

Also have had some success with my bike workshops :D

I've always enjoyed making wheels. I was now only missing a dishing tool. They are cheap enough, but again, I have time and skills, so wtfn?

I still need to do the final finishing touch but you get the idea...

Jinjaninja, best of luck with the lathe and mill. My high school shop had the tools but I only got to look at them from the wooden shelf and tie-rack construction section. My dream was to learn to use the cool equipment but my parents assured me a college degree in brainy stuff would lead to health, wealth and happiness. I'm having decent luck with the first, not so much the other two. Pretty sure my health isn't due to my English degree.

Keep up the good fight!
