I’ve seen quite a few of those wrenches in the U.K. and some other patterns too, such as ”C” wrenches.

My thoughts are the same as goldtang above. The patterns found suggest that they were supplied with machine tools.

I suspect from the typeface I’ve seen on some that they are of European manufacture. The examples I’ve seen seem to be of very good quality as I can’t ever recall seeing any with noticeable wear or damage.

Very nicely proportioned too.

Interesting!

I've seen similar tools in European motorcycle tool kits, but not as a complete set. You only get a few sizes common on the bike, like 10 and 13mm.
