I hate the 6' power cord on the electric strip I have mounted on my cart. If left loose like normal and the plug end is accidentally wedged under something and I trip over the power cord, I jerk the **** out of my cart or worse. So far I've just inelegantly zip tied the plug to the cart. An extension cord connected here is more likely to come apart if a ******* like me trips over it. But is there a product or way to do something like in the small pics below where just the plug prongs are recessed inside a box(?) which is then mounted rigidly to the cart? I've thought and thought about reasons not to do this but there's no real difference than a normal electric strip with a power cord. If I just glued the plug through a regular electric box too much prong length might be used up.
