Single Post Lift vs. Bendpak HD9 or HD-9ST?

Hello-

I'm considering a single post to save on space vs a 4 post. This is mostly for storage and will be small sports cars (for now) on top i.e Porsches.

Anyone with experience?

Pros and cons?

Does it actually save space compared to a 4 post?

I know there are some nicer looking higher end single post lifts - but I can't seem to find those.

Also, anyone experience the Bendpak HD-9ST vs HD9 width difference if the 10" makes a big difference?

Thanks!

love mine so far--biggest space savings would be on the mobile one like I have. when not in use you can roll it out of the way. I'm planning on building a work bench that the lower part will sit underneath. that way the only space taken up is the footprint of the column itself.

I have only seen the mobile single posts in 6000lbs capacities and they all seem like very very similar designs

I may get a 4 post for stacking cars for storage later on, but my single post is great for now!

I have the Bendpack HD9 and no regrets. Solid lift and great for working or storing.

No direct experience with the ST model, but with my standard HD9 a 911 and Miata fit better with the ramps on the narrow setting that matches the ramp width of the HD9ST. I do like the wider post spacing on the HD9 for pulling in and out of that bay though.

Agree completely.
