I'm doing some CL shopping for air compressors and came across to distinctly different units. One is a 20 year old IR - 1-stage, 60 gal, 125 psi max. The other is a Speedaire - 2-stage, 32 gal, don't know the max psi yet.
Between the two which one would be the better compressor? Would the 2-stage compressor make up for the smaller tank?
The two stage is not too expensive, however the motor is 3-phase. Has anyone had experience swapping out motors? Is it likely that I could swap motors from a local sales/repair shop for $100 or less?
