Check out this recent restoration on a Sioux Valve service bench I completed. This was a cool project, if you have a Sioux bench and are looking for the trim that goes around the bench or there Sioux sign that went on top let me know.
Thank You

That looks great!!
How long was it under construction. Where did you find it and do you know any history behind it? Great save of the old world!!!

Some random guy was selling an old Sioux valve seat grinder at the swap for $250 4 years ago.

I had taken a class on engine rebuilding the first semester they got a $70k Rottler valve machine and therefore they no longer taught us how to use the stone type grinders(although they still had them)

I asked the professor what it was worth and if I should buy and he said what I knew: only way to know what it's worth is to professionally use it and see if it can do the job.

I never bought it and beat myself up about it to this day...
(Thanks for listening to my story)

I have a Sioux bench grinder and impact wrench, as well as Sioux valve guide reamers, that would look good on that bench!

This was a back burner project for the past 4 months or so. I tend to jump from project to project. I found it in Salina Kansas area i do not know the history behind it at all and im glad i was able to save it. Thanks

Very nice. What's the deal with the "Mr. Vise" theme? Is that your business/website?

That is what the customer wanted. So that's what i went ahead and did. I was gearing up to do it original that's why i have the sign for sale now.

Pictures of the living room one? Please

The cabinet in various stages with the old furniture and then the new. Also it has now become my sons toy box. Check it all out

I also sold the cabinet you see in the texaco picture and replaced it with the other one. If you look close you will see the handle placement and hinges on the center bench are different.

You took something that looks like junk to most people and made it beautiful. Thank You for the hard work and dedication to the idea of restoring that work station.

I have a Sioux bench grinder too and that would be a perfect place for it. I’ll need to keep my eyes open for one of these. Beautiful work!

Amazing.

Were you selling mechandisers on another petrol website in the past? This picture looks really familiar to me. OldGas is the site.
