I'm not having much luck looking for SIP manufacturers in my area (South East / South Carolina) and was hoping to find a resource that would have a fairly comprehensive list. I looked at SIPA but immediately noticed companies I am aware of not on their site (it's a pay to join association, so I'm sure some companies don't bother). Any help would be appreciated. Thx

I just looked at the SIPA site and I'm pretty sure every company I talked to in my region is on that list, at least for traditional SIPs, meaning OSB over expanded polystyrene.

There is a company that makes metal clad SIPs for the southeast US that usually has a presence on the Green Building Talk site. I haven't lurked over there in a couple of years but it might be worth looking around.

I was going to use steel SIPs from a company in Oldsmar FL. They would have been too hard to DIY by myself, so I went ICF instead. Steel SIPs have a lot of advantages over OSB SIPs, IMHO. Shipping to upstate SC wasn't all that much compared to the total cost of the project. They were going to pre-cut all of the panels to my blueprints. They can make one piece panels up to 54' long. I wanted to do SIP roof panels over structural steel framing for my roof, but it wasn't in the budget. I do really like my ICF house- strong, quiet, and very energy efficient.

I spoke to Eco Panels today about sheeting options. They said with urethane foam insulation (which is basically a strong foam glue) they can place any sheeting together vertically with no loss in strength. So sheeting types are endless. I specifically was looking for ~20+ foot panels with the bottom portion being pressure treated plywood and the upper OSB. Would make for a fairly bomb proof panel. Wall or roof panels with ZIP panels would be interesting as well.
