I had Sirius in my 2010 truck and 2014 motorhome, courtesy of the manufacturer. Listened very infrequently in the truck; never even turned it on in the motorhome; let the service lapse on both at the end of the trial period.
Haven't heard a word from Sirius about renewal on either vehicle, which is fine. It wouldn't be worth more than ~$25/year for me to re-activate. And that would be for both, since I can't drive them at the same time.;)

One time I asked about transferring to a portable XM radio - you can switch it out from your car and then put it in a boom box. They sent me a basic Onyx for free. That was pretty cool of them. I told a friend about it about a year later and they wouldnt do it. Maybe it was special offer at the time, but that was pretty cool of them.

Not only are lifetime subs not available anymore, depending on when you bought it, lifetime won't necessarily be a lifetime.

If you purchased your Lifetime subscription
Before June 20, 2005: Yes, it is transferable from one radio to another any number of times.*

From June 20, 2005 until September 7, 2007: Yes, your Lifetime subscription is transferable a maximum of three times.*

On or after September 8, 2007: Lifetime subscriptions associated with home, portable or dock & play radios can be transferred a maximum of three times.* Lifetime subscriptions first associated with or transferred to radios installed in vehicles by automakers or dealers are NOT transferable unless the radio is stolen, accidentally damaged or defective.
