Hi: I am new here but I think you guys have a great forum. I am hoping I can get some help with heating my garage. I need some help in sizing a heater for my garage. My garage is 36' wide by 30' deep. The ceiling height is 8'9" high. R-13 insulation in the three exterior walls (2X4 walls), one common wall (one 30' wall) to my house, and R-30 insulation in the attic. I am planning on using a Reznor or Modine suspended propane unit heater. Should I be concerned about using a separate combustion air heater (burns outside air instead of inside air) or is that not necessary? I only plan on doing a minimal amount of work with cleaners/spray paint. Should I be worried about the fumes and explosions? I am also not sure how to determine what size (BTU) I need to adequately heat, without buying too large of a unit. Any preferences of Modine vs. Reznor???
Thanks for any help.
