I'm to far away but I e-mailed the guy anyways to see if he would be willing to ship the thing. I think shipping costs might kill the deal as well unless he is willing to take it apart and ship it in two boxes for less weight.

I was on that like white on rice when I saw it several days ago. I have a buddy in Philly, and figured maybe if it wasn't too far, he could get it for me. The seller messaged me in the evening to answer some questions I had asked, but told me he was getting interest in the jack from as far away as California, and that the jack was rare. He said he now had to do some research and would get back to me to see if I wanted to make an offer. I replied by telling him he was too far from my friend anyway, but that I wouldn't have any "offer" other than the price listed in the CL ad. I told him to join here if he wanted to learn about these jacks, but that folks here would tell him to keep it instead of getting rid of it in favor of the new HF jack he just bought.

Well it no longer says $50. Now it says make a reasonable offer. Guess all the people asking made him realize what he had.

For that reason alone, I wouldn't buy it if he lived next door.

I've had this happen to Me also. Email the guy and say I'll take it for the asking price, then get a message back that its worth more than the asking price. I like CL ads where their is a phone #. Call up and say I'm coming over now. Harder for the pricks to back out. Far to many men have no honor. a deal is a deal in my book. Hope he gets stuck with it.

He must be getting some pretty good offers. I exchanged e-mails with him and he offered to come buy my SJ-18. It would be about an 11 hour round trip for him. I said it would be available at my estate sale.

The seller sounds a bit flaky. It's either for sell or it isn't. :(

bl00, Please show us some pics of your SJ-18.
