Found this on the side of the road the other day. Dude was throwing it out. It was really dirty and I couldn't even see a name on it. I turned the knob right and it worked. Turned it left and it went down. So i brought it home and pressure washed it. Turned it right, went up. But then when i turned it left and its like I went to far or something. Now it wont tighten. Just spins. Does anyone know how i can tighten it up again? It needs a restoration. It looks like it has been used very much. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, but would like to get it to work again. Any info appreciated.

Do a search on this forum for SJ18. It has been discussed several times. It is definitely a cool art decco design. Our resident expert, Hiball has given his thoughts on one of the threads. It is apparantly not an easy jack to rebuild, requiring home made tools, because commercial ones are not available. He says the home rebuild success rate is low. Please, read the threads. It is a Blackhawk.
