Can anyone help me get this fixed? I need to get the retaining clip out of this ratchet and repaired or replaced but it’s stumping me. It has slipped into the ratchet head and it’s a bear. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Weird, it shouldn't have had room to have 'slipped'. I suppose that bent end on that hidden side might have broken off or straightened out somehow. I'd try pushing the tab that you can see as far ccw into the ratchet as I could while jiggling the anvil assembly with something, maybe by putting an extension on it, to see if you can convince the hiding side to peek out of there. Might help to shoot a bunch of penetrant up in there, or dunk the whole head into some ATF or the like before doing so.

Barring that might have to locate a rebuild kit that contains a new anvil and get destructive to get the old one out.

On the smaller stuff, I've had those ears break off before. In that case I've always been able to grab the remaining one with pliers or vise grips and just yank it out, but I'm not sure if that ring on the 3/4 drive would be flexible enough to work it's way around and out.

Try to get some oil in there so you can rotate it, I know they are stiff. Going to be tough trying to get it out with the broken ear.

The SK ratchet kits I see online have a new anvil assembly. I think you could cut the anvil down with a small Dremel or similar cut-off wheel. It will be a tedious finesse job!

I did something just like this on a 3/8"er with a broken tab on the retainer ring.

The retainer ring is toast, and you're going to have to replace it. So damaging it during removal is no big deal. Pry the end with the ear out from the ratchet so you can grab it with a small Vise-Grip. Apply pull pressure on the ring while you rotate the ratchet in the direction that matches the removal direction. You should be able to get the ring out a little at a time by doing this pulling and simultaneous turning of the gear. A bit tedious but doable.

That happened to me with a 1/2" drive. I lubed the **** out of it and was able to use a screwdriver to barely slide it back. The 3/4 might be just too much though.
