I found an old SK 1/2" drive ratchet a while back at the landfill I work at. It was rusted solid. I got it apart and freed up, but it slips in the loosen mode. I called to see if I could get a rebuild kit for it and how much it would cost. To my surprise it was available, but out of stock and free of charge! She said it would be a couple weeks, but I would get it.

SK does have fabulous customer service. When a company is willing to go above and beyond like that they earn and keep customers for life. Previous versions of that company made their share of mistakes, but under ideal SK is on my short list. Purely hypothetical, but if they had the distribution and a more complete line, they would trounce snap on.

I agree with this. They'd almost definitely surpass Mac. SK needs more tool trucks. I personally have never seen one here in CT.

I needed a rebuild kit for a 1/4" ratchet and they were very prompt and helpful. Nothing but good things to say about their customer service.

Of course, I love their ratchets as well.

If SK's quality control, distribution/presence, and innovation was on par with their customer service they'd be a force to be reckoned with

SK CS has been great to me as well. I also have a local B&M dealer and I have seen a truck around as well. Plus there is always HJE

It is sad the old indie auto parts store in my home town is closed down. Bought my first SK tool from them in the mid 90s.

I asked about the new ratchet they are coming out with and I received an email saying that they would be posting pics and info on the website in a couple of months

I had a 3/8 that was grandpas, had a random skip. Emailed customer sevicr and had a rebuild kit in a couple days. Installed it, and still an occasional skip. Found the head was cracked. Again email sk, they say take it to a b&m for warranty, which I totally understand, but the only place in the state listed was Grainger. Pain in the ***. Not sk's fault, and I did get a new ratchet eventually, just would be nice to see better resources for b&m warranty. I know several places that sell sk but don't warranty it. There is a truck around but the driver is a crook on his last attempt. Truck is still half full of Mac stuff from when he "parted ways" with them. Most shops won't let the guy come around. Credit fraud etc.

I'm not a fan of tool trucks personally but if they're company employees enthusiastic about the brand and are able to make a living without resenting the customers ... I'd be all over it!

Trounce with what ? 1962 ratchets and a set of short fat wrenches :lol_hitti
If I ran the place I'd have that roto ratchet back in production and hire Proto to build them the Tuff One again.

I'm very interested in purchasing some SK tools off the truck. Does anyone know of any SK tool trucks in New Jersey. I'm in the area of Edison New Jersey.

I found one guy driving a SK lettered truck. He was traveling in opposite direction but I was able to get his number off side of truck. He said he stopped dealing SK because they were very slow on ordered tools and warranty issues. I will make the call.

Morris of MK tools whom my grandfather dealt with when he was a mechanic in north branford as well as when i worked in old saybrook sold or sells SK tools. I don't know if he still does or not, i haven't been in a shop in two years.
