Is that open end wrench set the SK set with a couple Bonney wrenches? I saw a SK open end wrench set for about $80. Is that it? Looks really nice!

Got my tracking number today. Order should arrive Mid-week. Very excited!

I'll post up pics tomorrow. I'm too exhausted right now.

On further inspection, the dirty oil filter cup/socket is not only dirty, it's metal insert is also rusted. I got a used set no two ways about it.

Yes, that's the one. I did not see much of the 10% off tools that I wanted or needed, but the angle head wrench set caught my eye and the nice screwdrivers put me into the tee shirt range. I am happy with my purchase.

I have those blue and black screwdrivers in square drive. I really like them but not nearly enough to replace my PB Swiss as my go to drivers.

My order is ready for pick up and I should be by the store Monday to grab it. I feel like I'm waiting on Santa.

I'm pretty sure those or made by Bost in Europe. They are rebranded by various lines including Stanley Fat Max, but only in Europe.

I've been wanting to try those for a while.

Here's a set.

Nice!!!

I almost bought that one. I was worried that the grip itself wasn't going to be thick enough though. The picture made it look like the diameter was pretty close to the diameter of the actual bar. That's actually pretty beefy though! I'll be adding that to the list for sure!

Congrats man!

Out o the six items I ordered, one, the 8piece 3/8" Drive Metric Bit Socket Set is special order. So I'm guessing it might be another week to a week and a half before they get it in and are able to pack everything and ship it out.

Can barely wait for my sockets and long pattern wrenches.

My SK Day delivery is sitting at home waiting for me to get off work!

Me: Did I get a cool delivery?
GF: If by cool you mean fingerpainted...
Me: Fingerpainted? Whoah, cool.

Also Eep, apparently the breaker bar is sticking out of the corner of the box. Hope it's all ok when I get home. If anything would be hard to damage I'd think it'd be a breaker bar.

ORDER RECEIVED ! :rocker:

This is the first time that I've requested box art.
I asked for a picture of Pat Patriot eating a Dolphin to humor my BIL (It's a New England thing).

I only put together a small order this time around. 4 stubby screwdrivers. I was interested in these because they are a little longer than standard stubbies. I wasn't expecting to get any of the freebies since the order was so small, but I got a call on saturday from HJE asking for my shirt size.
Thank you.

In the last pic, you can see that the new SK stubbies also have a fatter handle than the old SK stubbies, making them closer to the offerings from the truck brands. I like this feature as well. The old ones were a little hard to get a good grip on. Both of the screwdrivers in the pic are the same model number. #81001.

I swung by the store and picked up my order today. Everything looks great. 3 ratchets, 1/2 metric 6pt short and deep, 3/8 drive set for the semi, and a 3/8 drive bet set.

Finally got home to open 'er up!

Here's my box art. I asked for something SK related in honor of SK day.
WPalH3J.jpg

I got the XXL 30" 1/2" Breaker Bar, the SureGrip Extra Long Reach Screwdriver Set, and an SK Hat, plus the free t-shirt.

The breaker bar feels awesome and if my memory holds is thicker than the HF 25" breaker bar it is replacing. I might go out and measure them and see. In any case, I'm hoping this one will be a bit more rigid. I've had the HF start flexing on me just tightening down an axle nut.

The screwdrivers feel and look very nice, but they are much lighter than I expected. I was surprised at the weight given how big they are. They don't feel unbalanced though which is nice, and the two large flat head drivers have the hex bolster for turning with a wrench.

The hat is a hat, and it says SK on it!

The shirt feels real good and is cooler than I expected. It has the SK Day logo, alongside a Garage Journal Emblem, an SK Logo, and a little HJE logo on the sleeve.

Thanks to Jori, SK Tools, and everyone else at Harry Epsteins! I'm glad I got to participate this time and I'm sure I will be in the future as well.

Got my order in today! 3/4 XXL breaker bar, 3/8 XXL breaker bar, 1"-1 1/8" line wrench, and 3/8, 1/2 drive metric hex socket set. Got the sweet tshirt, awesome beanie, just in time for cold weather, and the power bank. I'm pretty pumped about that 3/4" breaker bar!

Alrighty, here are the pics of my 5 piece oil filter socket/cup set. (Apologies for any potato pics)

First up is a shot of the set as it is now. Missing the one socket/cup.

Next are two pics showing the rust on the metal insert:

Then we have a photo showing where I wiped off grime with my thumb. There was actually quite a bit more oil/dirt on it initially, but I've been wiping my thumb on it for a few days now.

And lastly a shot of the filter chart. it looks like I'm missing the one that has 14 flutes and is 76mm.

Now I guess it's just a matter of contacting HJE and letting them know what's up.

As a side note, I think they gave me someone else's box art. Did anyone request a moonlit lake? No big deal to me, but if you're wondering where it went to...now you know!

FWIW I'll say it again. It doesn't bother me so much that the one cup/socket is dirty. Though I would have expected new, and not used tools. I was surprised that the set was missing a cup/socket altogether. Not exactly what I expected. I don't want to start using the rest of them until this has been resolved. So I guess I'm in for a wait.

On the plus side, everyone (no matter what your order size) is getting a t-shirt, and we will also have them available on our website by the end of the week.

Really? I thought that was only for those with a certain order amount. I did not include a shirt size with my order comment. I'd like a large, guess I better send Epstein's an email.
