So I've talked with SK and they are excited to have another SK Day this Fall.
Let's shoot for the last weekend in October (Friday 30th, Saturday 31st, Sunday 1st).

It is still in the preliminary stages of planning and as the details emerge I will share them in this thread, but I can assure you that we will make some really nice US made SK Day / Garage Journal t-shirts as well as custom stickers. Halloween themed? Not sure, but something to consider.

For all you bargain seekers, SK has said that there will be 20-30 products that we can get an additional 10% off. We'll figure out later what those 20-30 products are going to be. All suggestions are welcome.

SK has recently introduced some locking impact extensions as well as some XXL breaker bars, so those might be an interesting addition as well. Not sure if you guys have seen them yet, but I have a sheet on both of those products that I will post later.

That's all I know right now. More details to come.

Also, if someone has the magic power to sticky threads, you might want to wave your wand and sticky this one. Typically it helps getting the word out.

Thank you for making this happen.

I'm looking forward to participating. It's time to peruse the catalog.

A thought for the added discounts would be the socket sets in the blow molded plastic box: metric and sae, deep and shallow in both 1/4 and 3/8 drive...

Part # 91848 (1/4 dr) and 94547 (3/8 dr)

It is a great starter set for folks, and could be a great way for people to see, afford to buy and use the quality of SK tools.

Was planning to get some Proto locking impact extensions, but the SK are now on my radar more than ever.

The 15" 3/8 and 36" 3/4 WILL be mine...eventually.

Wouldn't mind seeing a sample set of X-Frame wrenches as one of the specials if SK would be willing to do it. Something like 10, 12, 14 for Asian and 10, 13, 15 for Domestics. I think I can speak for a lot of members when I say I already have an abundance of ratcheting wrenches but would both like to support and try the SK product without having to fork out $200-$250 for a set which honestly I don't need in the first place. I'd kick in $50-$60 or there abouts for some common sizes trial sets/man toys though.

What else does SK have that's new? Tell SK to post up product sheets for their newly released items because their online catalog is out of date.

October 30th would be outstanding!!! Right before SEMA/AAPEX and almost a month from black Friday:thumbup:

Works for me, make sure you get some of the long breaker bars and the locking extensions on hand:beer:

Great job Jori!!! Let's get the Epstein's crew rested. On second thought, instead of rest, run the crew through some physical training to prepare them for another onslaught.

Who knows?
Price dependent I'd be down for some breaker bars. I'd rather buy ONLY the 30" breaker bar if it looks like I can't afford the bar plus other items.

Already been filling my HJE cart with SK looking forward to this. Not expecting any discounts, but looking forward to a shirt to go with it (the less Halloween themed the better, I'd like to wear it year round :D)

I'm in! Would love to see a discount on the X frames and another vote for no Halloween theme on the shirt.

I can tell you with a fair amount of certainty that the X-Frame wrenches will not be ready by SK Day. It's been a drag that it's taking so long but I do respect SK for taking the time to really get it right before releasing them. Like you guys, I am eager to get my hands on some. Don't know a release date, but if they were going to be available anytime in the near future, I would've held back on SK Day till then.

I think we have waited more than long enough for another SK Day ;)

I'm glad to see this 2nd annual SK Day is falling into place. Getting pretty excited about this. Guess I better get started on creating the shopping list, huh? :D

15" 3/8 drive breaker bar definitely will be on my list. Already got the 10" 3/8 drive from last year SK Day and am loving it :)

I already have their 16" and 24" 1/2 drive breaker bars (sort of) but they're being warrantied right now because of pre-Ideal quality control issue due poor knurling job. I'm pretty confident SK will take care of this as their present Ideal knurling quality on their breaker bars and ratchets are absolutely immaculate!

Jori, if I may pitch in a few suggestions as for which to offer incentives on:

- 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 drive chrome socket sets with ratchet and extensions in molded cases
- long pattern SuperKrome wrench sets
- 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 drive chrome ratchets and breaker bars

and perhaps ...

- 3/8 and 1/2 drive impact socket sets

The first three lines definitely would be a good starter (or add-on) for pretty much anyone as they're basic necessity in any toolbox. Also, it would be a good opportunity for some to try out the SK ratchets and see the beauty and quality, durability and toughness of their 'old school' round head ratcheting tools :D

The impact sockets are not absolutely necessity but would be a good way to showcase the quality of SK's USA made sockets. I was debating for YEARS which brand impact sockets to replace my cheapo IR sets as there are so many choices out there. I finally pulled the trigger with SK and got them through last year SK Day and am so glad I did.

BTW, I already own most of the above, but like I said earlier, I find them to be a necessity. :)

I was eyeing some sk ratchets. I guess I will just have to do it. I really want the 1/4 flex head. I know some don't like SK ratchets but I love them. May get some mid length sockets too.

Do you know if they are going to fix the smaller wrenches to where they decrease in size linearly? I saw some photos of sets where a few of the smaller sizes were made out of the same blank.

The pinless impact universal sockets probably won't be ready by the time SK day rolls around, so maybe I'll just see if I can get some 1/4" midlength sockets and some MM 3/8" midlength and deep impact sockets. Maybe the Mongo-sized 1/2" breaker bar...

Obviously I am in for the event, but here's my advice...

GET MORE SHIRTS. My old one is worn out. I wear it all the time on the job. People always ask who Harry Epstein is and sometimes what SK is all about. Heck....even sell them.

SK shirts available for year round purchase would be awesome.

I'm hoping to save up quite a bit to place a BIG order for this SK day....looking forward to those breaker bars too!

EDIT: Actually, out of curiosity, is the 30" or 36" breaker bar be killer to ship ($$$)? I'll be placing an order that will probably be 30+ lbs, so it's not like shipping is going to be cheap to begin with.
