I didn't even know this thread existed, let alone the fact that there was a SK Day this year. Thanks to the moderator who "stickied" this. Definitely I am going to participate again this year.

Makes me wonder if Bayside is going to make the make the shirts this year? In my case, I am looking forward to supporting Harry J Epstein and SK once again. Discounts and free tools aren't my reason for supporting them.

Thank you for all your hard work Jori and thank you SK for selecting a domestic manufacturer for the shirts.

I remember there was a thread mentioning SK Day, but must not have seen this thread. Bound to happen eventually. Either way, now that I know about this, time to see what I need haha.

Just noticed one of the tags and I 100% agree with this. Jori you are awesome and of course so is SK as well.

However, guys such as you are what make America great. Family owned, run and there is a sincere focus on supporting and creating American jobs.

Thank you for all that you do. Ideal, thank you for keeping the jobs in America and also for cooperating as well. Discounts are great, but this is not what is important about SK Day. Epstein's is not a pawn shop nor are they Wallmart (thankfully).

That was the list that we came up with for the discounted items.
We will be sure to get some in stock in our store before SK Day.

That 3/4 drive look pretty beefy. Got a picture of the new 15" 3/8 drive breaker bar? I'd like to see what made SK think it is worth charging twice as much as their 10" bar.

Are the locking impact extensions and the new breaker bars the only new SK tools you'll have in stock for SK day?

This is going to be expensive

What's the deal with extra shirts that we can possibly buy? I wear my tool shirts daily and when the GJ SK Day one comes out customers ask what the heck is that from.

Yes, you are right. That is the 1/2" drive. We actually have been stocking a lot more of SK that isn't reflected on the site, so there will be more in stock then just those items.

Since SK is funding the production of the t-shirts, we need to give them all away. I wouldn't feel comfortable making money off of them. So if there are t-shirts left over, we can offer them throughout the year in some promotional way exclusively to garage journal members. Not sure how that will work, but we can figure something out, so anyone that wants a t-shirt can get one whenever.

Looks good but just one question on two items:

86017 Set Wr CB Ln FlPl Fr 13Pc
86127 Set Wr CB Ln FlPl 6Pt Mt 13Pc

The fractional set is 12point and the metric set is 6point on the box end of the combo wrench.

Was this purposeful?

I could definitely use the metric set at work and there are a few items not in your list that I will be buying regardless of discount.

I understand that they are a promotional thing. How about stocking some of the SK branded shirts or hats?

Thanks for posting that shot, Jori :thumbup: As far as I could tell, the width and depth of "U" end (where the 3/8" square male pivots in between) is the same for both of them? And is the diameter on the handle end the same as well? (hard to tell in the photo)

The heads and the diameter of the handles are identical. Only difference besides the overall length, is the length of the knurled handle. On the 10" bar it is 2 13/16". On the 15" it is 3 1/8".

Sounds to me like only certain, predetermined products are discounted. They may or may not have been mentioned already. SK day isn't about the discount though, it's about the support of American manufacturers and American business. The discounts are just a bonus ;)

yes the list was posted and I love sk tools and am very glad they are still made in the USA. There's a few things on the list I'm interested in, just wondering where to purchase the tools
