SK Dayz came about from GarageJournal, I would hate to see GJ members miss out on tee shirts because others just wandered in at the end and decided to order. Maybe the $100 will keep that from happening, but I would be upset with anticipating the day for months then miss out.

Yes, it will be better for SK and HJE.

Are S*K Deep 6 point Impact 3/4" Drive sockets deep broached? 1 and 1/16" equivalent to 27 mm. ?
Interesting that in Wright the 17 mm. impact deep has a shallower broach mouth than the short 17 mm. impact socket (6 points and 1/2" drive both) making the short socket better for swallowing the whole hex of a certain lug bolt

I need to find another SK item besides the 1/2" XXL breaker bar to get me up to the magical t-shirt threshold... Any hidden gems / sleeper SK tools for like 20-30$?

If you do not already have one, I would think SK 45183 professional flex head ratchet, 3/8 drive, would be one of must have SK items. It's a bit above $30 but well worth it. One of my favorite go-to ratchets.

How does it compare to the Armstrong? I like my Armstrong flex ratchet because the flex head isn't just loose—it can be locked at a variety of angles by a steel catch in the hinge.

Honestly, I have no idea. I have never touched an Armstrong ratchet, so I cannot make a comparison. Maybe someone else will chime in.

Take a look at the SK Thumbwheel ratchets (small and smooth) ~$23 each or
SK44498 & SK45498 Hex Bit Socket adapters (easy to swap bits) <$7 each

I don't have the Armstrong, but I have used one and really thought about it. I do want a locking flex head ratchet. I do have several other brands of flex heads and don't feel there is one that is better than another. There are several locking flex head ratchets
Bottom line. Does SK make a good flex head ratchet? Yes
Does it have a locking head? No
Would it make a great purchase? Yes
Just my $.02 worth.

I'm signing off for tonight guys. I hope everything goes well. I'm in Austin, TX tonight visiting some family and they don't have internet at the house. So if everything goes as planned the prices should automatically change on the product pages at midnight tonight. Good luck, and I'll be around tomorrow to answer any questions that might have come up. Have fun and Happy SK Dayzzzzzz..........

Probably won't be placing my order until the weekend, though I'll spend tomorrow night making up my mind about what I want to get.

I'm still trying to finalize my order... The site works for about 30 seconds and then back to waiting 5 minutes per page load.

Order # 100001534.

Couldn't afford much this time around. Settled on the 5 piece oil filter (socket?) set and the trim clip tool.

Hey Fed, I bought half the kit I guess. Didn't get the indexable tool to remove the pins. I've got a few other tools that are close enough to get the job done. I bought the tool that has a tapered pin on one end and a angled flat on the other for popping the pins up.

Did you get the 1/2" and the 3/8"?

Why of course I did. However, I'm sure Epstein's was out of stock by the time I ordered.:wtf: Last time it took forever to get my SK stuff but, I'm a glutton for punishment so, here I go again.:bounce:

I have that SK trim tool as well. It's real handy on Toyotas with the push through type trim retainer.

The breaker bars sound pretty good to me. If I have a pretty good weekend I might still be able to order the 1/2". Hopefully I'll earn enough.

When you get the breaker bars in, would you mind posting some pics up? Especially of the grip on the 3/8" one? It's a little hard to tell how thick the grip is in relation to the shaft of the bar itself.

I think the trim tool and oil filter set will serve me well. We've got a "fleet" of 7 vehicles in the family. Got a few timing belts and plenty of oil changes lined up for the future.

Jealous of all you fellas snagging the monster breaker bars!
