SK Diamond 1/4" socket set, w/ Artisan?

I was at an estate sale and picked up this nice little SK Diamond 1/4" ratchet set. I thought it was interesting that it had an Artisan ratchet (nice action) in there instead of the 40970 which I am assuming is what it normally came with. Does anyone know what all should be in this set?

It had a bunch of other non-SK sockets in there too, MAC, Snap-ON, Williams, C-Man. It was a strange grouping of sockets. I'm going to take a couple more pictures of those, but what I thought was really interesting was that the one MAC socket was very much like an SK socket, but I can't find anything about it on the internet.

The gear assembly for the standard S-K roundhead should fit that style Artisan like a glove. I agree the 1/4" version of the Artisan is a rare one.

My set is from the same time period and has the same pieces except that it's got the regular diamond logo ratchet. I think your set is complete.

ganymede, thanks for the info that makes my day! I thought I might be missing a socket or one of those green drivers.

Woody, it was up not too far from the hoover dam, kind of far for me, but they had a couple things my friend was interested in. I recognized the SK box immediately, it was packed with stuff as you'll see from the next pics I upload. I'll show mercy and not mention what i paid, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then :D

Here are the other sockets stuffed in there (the SK was already shown). Are Walden sockets any good, I've never heard of them. The SK 7/16 and MAC 7/16 look pretty damn similar, but I've found no information of that connection.

Wow you ain't kidding, that Mac n the SK are real close.
Anyway, I haven't used a ton of Walden stuff but what I have has always worked for me and it seems to be a respected brand here on GJ too.

I have a couple of 3/8 ratchets like those and I also think the set came that way and is most likely complete.

I have a set like that bought by my father, the price is written in grease pencil on the top for $2.98 (if I can read it correctly).

The set I have never included a ratchet. It does have a yellow handled screwdriver like handle for sockets (sorry about the terminology).

vssjim, so those sets brand new had the artisan ratchet in it?

toolmiser, that's interested that it didn't start out with a ratchet, do you happen to have a picture of the yellow driver? I've searched for quite a bit and haven't found a pic of one, lots of green though!

On Alloy Artifacts they show sets with a Artisan ratchet but all other parts are SK with just a sticker for Artisan. So I can see how this set could have come just like you see it with a different ratchet and all other stuff SK as the Artisan fad did not seem to last very long.

vssjim, it took quite a bit of searching, but I found a picture of the driver you mention, is this it?
