SK DT80 after while of use?

Greetings everyone. I just ordered a SK 45174 stubby 3/8" ratchet off eBay. I'm thinking about putting a DT80 kit in it. I've searched GJ and found threads when they first came out that indicated that overall it was a good improvement, but that the back drag was more with the DT80 internals.

I want to know from those of you that have the DT80: do they loosen up over time, or is the increased back drag permanent?

It isn't going to put it in a category with all the newer style low profile ratchets. SK roundheads are my go to ratchets. But they are what they are. I upgraded a 3/8 and a 1/2 and considering what it cost (cheap), I'm happy with them.

I've had a DT upgrade in my long handle 3/8 flex head for at least a year; maybe 2? Backdrag seems similar to my other 3/8 round head SK ratchets.

Full disclosure, the DT gets used daily, the others get used a few times a month. I doubt that's relevant, but that's the usage. IME all ratchets loosen up to some degree with wear.
