I bought a 10 piece Craftsman for $40. I know a lot of people bash Craftsman, but how many ways can you make a line wrench?

If the Snap-on one's will also do the dishes, I'm all in... because the dishwasher's broke, and I the old lady is tired of washing dishes

The design is common, keeping them from stretching and rounding off the line is the hard part.

They look just like the Craftsman Professional set I have.

Were they made by S-K?

I made up a set of Northern Industrial's when they were on clearance for $1/wrench (before they switched everything to Klutch). They are beefy and fit very snug.

I call BS. Those run $60+. I watched for a year or so until I had the money to buy em.

they come up. I search newly listed, buy it now only, search either early morning or late evening and they do pop up every so often.

i got 4 metric (newer style wrenches) last week covering 9-11, 13-14, 15-17, 19-21.

i picked up the 10-12 for $11.

so far im just over $50 and the 16-18 wont run me more than $20 when i find one thats not a ebay shop.

so $70 max for a set that frequently sells on ebay for $100-150 and $250 on the truck.

trust me, they are out there, even more so in SAE.

Craftsman line wrenches are terrible... I've had so many problems with mine it wasn't even funny. I got snap-ons from ebay for about $75 each set (6pc metric and 5pc SAE). They have worked flawlessly for me.

I won the 11 piece sk set on eBay for 43 bucks. Can't remember if that included shipping. I think they were only that cheap because the bidding ended at 1030 am on a Tuesday.

Two...the right way and a wrong way. I had a brand new Craftsman (made in USA) line wrench with the bar code sticker still on it and it rounded off the first brake fitting I attempted to tighten. It WAS stainless line but come on. I pushed the car back into the garage, bought a set of S-O on eBay that week, and they tightened the same nuts that the Cman wrench had rounded off. I threw the Cman ones in the trash.

They look just like the Craftsman Professional set I have.

Yep. I got both sets of S-O cheap enough that I could keep my OCD happy but I had those same wrenches and they are awesome. I gave them to my friend who's getting into fixing his import cars a lot more lately.

I paid around $45 for the SAE set and a little over $50 for the metrics. All new logo, all in very nice shape. I had been looking forever, though, and I'm sure I got a better deal than average.

Just to add to this post, if you have time and patience you can get deals. I bought my SK 5 piece SAE set a few months back for ~$25 shipped and I bought my SK 5 piece metric set yesterday for $36 shipped (this was a "buy it now").

So the deals do exist if you have the time to be patient. FWIW, I have seen SO in the price ranges mentioned above, it's just rare. I'm fine with SK as an alternative, considering what I paid.
